Very worrying stats.

Thu Nov 03, 2022 4:33 pm

18 games into the season and we've scored 14 goals. 6 of those came in 2 away matches which means we've scored 8 goals in the other 16 games. ONE EVERY 2 GAMES!!! Alarming, and we haven't scored more than 1 goal in any home game. Very depressing, we've had some shitty teams over the years but this one is very poor and we're definitely in a relegation scrap.

Very important stats but don’t see certain posters replying as it goes against their narrative. Wake up people we are a mess.

Other stats we are 4th bottom at home goals scored.... 5th bottom for away goals... and Preston below us for total goals scored. :old:

Go on, I'll 'bite' (for fun) and reply as 'one of those posters'... ;)

No one has a more consistent 'narrative' on here than you, so you've got a bit of a nerve...

However, the OP has a point and even I have bemoaned the lack of proper strikers so far this season because it's a fact that without (latterly) Callum Robinson and the odd goal from the rest, we do struggle

What I will never be though, is a constant anti-club moaner like you and I will support the XI on the field so long as they are putting in the effort; which is certainly what they did last night

This squad are nowhere near as bad as you and your ilk would like us to believe but they do need to score more goals in order to convert their laudible play into important points

As I've said before, it's not about rose-tinted spectacles, it's about looking at the whole picture, accepting what we have and getting behind it as supporters

Having a go when it's due is fine but you are just mean-minded and deliberate in your comments and you fool no one except yourself, if you believe otherwise... ;)

Whilst I am concerned at the lack of goals in this team, the plus side of this is so few goals conceded. Moving away from Hoofball is a transition and the view of games this season is much more palatable, we always knew that up top we were a bit light, the issue is that there do not seam to be goals spread throughout the team as in previous years. Its my opinion that Robinson following his stupidity down the road owes us big time I just hope he can start repaying that debt, however we are still short of a striker and just maybe in January Mr Huggill may wish to have a bit of game time with us ( that could be the missing piece)

We have been riddled with injuries and not a settled 11 since starting so well against norwich and brum best i have seen in 10 years was thinking we are going somewhere this season
sadly we have gone the wrong way we are playing some nice football and morrisson put a good group together but failed in the last piece of the jigsaw striker's
only getting Robinson in at the last
and if as we where told money was there why did we not tempt a striker of quality then
I don't buy the idea that they would not come to cardiff how much money was in the pot for a striker 5 10 million
saying there was money there why did' nt morrisson spend it then
This has been our downfall and nothing can be done on this till january
We will wait and see how much money is available for hudson if ge is still here looking forward to the rest of the season but its a pity its not working out for us fans
again this season
and a shame to see the crowds so low but i tbu k cost of living has more to do than our football
but much prefer watching us now to when when mick mc carthy was in charge.

We have 8 games between now and the transfer window opening , as long as we can keep our heads above water (relegation zone)in that time , I'm sure we can get another striker in . Also everyone should be back fit and raring to go (except JC) . So there as got to be reasons to be positive , but being negative thrives on this board !
