Young Bluebirds hammered

Cardiff City's under-21s were swept aside by Millwall under 21’s on Monday afternoon, with the Lions cruising to a 5-0 win in the English capital.

Both sides fielded a young side, with Millwall tearing Cardiff apart and the bluebirds struggling to keep the ball.

The Lions were ahead after just six minutes when Tom Leahy headed home, before a second-half blitz saw them net two goals inside four minutes.

First, Nana Boateng turned home on 47 minutes, before Sashiel Adom-Malaki rattled one in from 20 yards.

The hosts were firmly in control, and added a fourth through Abdul Abdulmalik just after the hour mark, before Morgan Lewis sliced into his own net eight minutes from time.
