Team news verdict:
What a relief it is to see Perry Ng's name back on the team sheet. Boy, didn't Cardiff miss him? He solves that centre-back conundrum and is paired with Cedric Kipre at the heart of defence. Curtis Nelson, who started last week's derby, is bombed from the squad all together.
Tom Sang is preferred to the returning Mahlon Romeo, many would say rightly so after his display at the Swansea.com Stadium last weekend.
Mark Harris leads the line in Callum Robinson's absence, the right call for many. Sheyi Ojo is preferred on one flank to Jaden Philogene, who is on the bench. Callum O'Dowda is of course named on the other wing.
For the visitors, well a right-back by the name of Lee Peltier starts...

I would have preferred Etete up front alongside Harris to attempt a partnership.
Once again, playing with one isolated striker suggests few goals in this team.
Fingers crossed that some chances we create are converted today.

Watters up on level 4 talking to girlfriend or wife? Obviously out of favour totally.

Missed chances agsin mid week in the U21. Must be sold in January. A gamble that didn't work out. Would like to see Etete in this one. Praying we score and score first.

I am afraid Harris is just not up to it, but plays most of the time, which is extremely frustrating to watch. He ambles around these days and only on occasions today did he make any runs. He dismays me just seeing him walk back towards the visiting defence, when he should be ready to be to make runs when needed, and he makes no effort to jump for the ball in the air. He is NOT a centre forward, and surely we should be giving Etete a game to see what he can do. To give the latter just three minutes injury time to play today was extremely insulting to the lad, and Hudson should hold his head in shame for that. There was no way he could have played worse than Harris today. Having said all that, it was a great relief to get a win today.

I doubt harris sees himself as a centre forward either. But he plugs away keeps running and always tries hard. He’s better a little deeper and wider.
Etete must not be as fancied yet or not considered ready to start.

Thought Ojo looked good down the middle.. and good that Hudson changed the system creatively.
