The Spaniard left Huddersfield Town just three weeks before the start of this season.
Huddersfield finished just above the Championship relegation zone during Corberan’s first season in charge but last season the Spaniard led them to third in the table. They were beaten 1-0 in the Championship play-off final by Nottingham Forest.
West Brom have chosen Carlos Corberan as their new manager.
The Hawthorns club have been without a permanent manager since October 10 when Steve Bruce was sacked.
West Brom held two interviews before deciding on Corberan as the new man in charge and are now expecting him to sign after advanced talks.
Corberan is expected to take over a side who are currently languishing in the relegation zone after claiming 14 points from their opening 16 Championship games.

The former Leeds United assistant replaced Danny Cowley in July 2020 after spending three years at Elland Road as the club’s Under-23 coach and a member of Marcelo Bielsa’s backroom staff.

He went on to manage Olympiacos in August but was sacked after winning just two of his 11 games in charge of the Greek side.
