Tue Oct 25, 2022 8:00 am

Please come back in again and save my club from the abyss !
If only till the end of the season
Personally I thought you did a fantastic job at it last time round

What an idiot you are.

Re: Calling Mr Warnock

If it wasn't for Warnock wasting so much money on useless players brought in on stupid wages we wouldent be in the mess we are now. Having to work on a shoe string cut cost everywhere and you want him back, Iv only just recovered from my last crick neck.

We don't need another short-term fix. We need a long-term plan and direction. Not switching styles of play every 6 months.

The only manager who should return is Steve Morison - he should never have been sacked in the first place

Warnock certainly made some costly mistakes I wont deny , but it was Tan, Delman and Choo who should have known whether we could afford the salaries. They are to blame. Warnock turned a side in the relegation zone of the Championship into a Premier League side in 18 months and which, with a bit of luck, could have stayed up. We only went down by 2 points unlike big spenders Fulham who were as good as down by Easter. And as for the cricked neck. You couldn't have been coming for the first half of our promotion season because we played some of the best football i have seen at the City in the 50 years I have been watching them. A damn sight more exiting than Malkys team.

For Mike P
What’s your suggestion then IDIOT
Another fkin know it all warnock was the best manager in years at this club wether or not he spent or wasted money all football is a gamble
It’s my personal opinion and I ain’t no IDIOT either

Because he did a great job at Boro and our small team are totally suited to his style.

Re: Calling Mr Warnock

Perhaps we need a type of warnock bit tbe man himself someone thats been around but can do a lot with tight budget but with a younger outlook

It was an idiotic remark to make bring back Mr Warnock. As you can see no one wants him back.Mark Hudson needs time he will succeed.Players back from injury will HELP.

Re: Calling Mr Warnock

I have been a Cardiff fan and supporter since had my first job and could afford to go that was in 1962. I have seen over those years better football played than what Warnock dished out maybe not the success but Warnock is not the answer in this modern day of football anymore.

Re: Calling Mr Warnock

Wed Oct 26, 2022 8:15 am

I would have him back and the reason is simple
There are new players in this squad who have not played for him before , players respond well to him over 2 seasons then it wears off
It’s great that Hudson is being given a chance but it’s obviously not being translated into goals and wins
Whether Hudson wants that or not is something he’ll have to come to terms with but he needs help in some way that is for sure
If I was a betting man I’d have a fiver on warnock coming back with side bet on the playoffs

Modern football etc didn’t Liverpool beat Man City with a punt over the top to sala who turned beat his player and scored
Horses for courses and if it works then it wins

Those early days with Warnock at the helm were great and obviously included the promotion.
However, I wasn't a fan of his style of football and anyway, I feel it unlikely he would repeat the success, but we are all entitled to our opinions.
I hope and pray we take our time and wait for the right man for the job this time. But not too long as I fear league one football could be awaiting our arrival if results don't improve.
I think Coventry and WBA will soon be moving up the table with the added fact that Cardiff are very goal shy!

Maybe next year, he can sign a load of giants and get us back up from the 1st division?

That would be the only wau I would want him back.

Re: Calling Mr Warnock

Warnock saved this club if he didnt come in we would have landed in league 1 with supporters rowing with each other and club finished with attendance lucky to be 4 to 8000 it would be finished.

Warnock came in saved us from relegation then took us up to the prem and we were in Blue and was unlucky to get relegated and lets not forget the Sala tragedy upset Warnock too.

Sadly we lost of players main one Gunnerson hard to replace but we were above mid table and safe just we lost to the worzels and then Jacks and Warnock wanted to go and Dalman acted.

Warnock brought far more positives to this club than negatives

That in my view was our mistake as since Warnock has left we are lower than ever we still losing to the worzels and the jacks
and that is with Harris McCarthy Morrison & Hudson and with loads of new players and Mike P blames Warnock really :laughing6:

For those Tan fans, actually Warnock is the only manager Tan respects and listens to.

It seems (to me anyway) some fans are looking for perfection, the problem is when you find a perfect manager - he may have other opinions of us as a club.

Surely the only criteria - is a success. There arent many that have bought us success on the pitch, Malky ?, Jones ?, May ? and Warnock ? , maybe Burrows ?

All the other managers we have had that I can remember have been disctintly average or bad.

Chatting a someone recently who is footballing wise in terms of training , setup etc - he said his son had a choice of Swansea or Cardiff (he's a junior welsh international) , Swansea are miles and niles ahead of us in their setup, scouting and recruitment etc. And it's been like this for years - harsh fact to admit - but he is right. We never seem to get it right compared to the JB's both in terms of players and managers. I dont remember any city manager whose next club after us was the prem - otyer than Olly who was sacked fairly soon into his contract.

I coach junior football and have a few players in the Cardiff academy. I believe the biggest problem with it is quality, they just take as many players in as they can to make money and hope a few make it. It's not like years back where you were scouted on ability. Don't get me wrong you've got to be half decent but the standard is nowhere near what it should be in my opinion. Unfortunately it's all about money, it's the kids that will be devastated in the end.

We are sounding out a few managers, two of which are under contract with their clubs, therefore will require compensation, and until we are desperate I cannot see us paying those clubs.
So maybe these managers are good, but if we are not going to pay what those clubs want then I think we will have a problem bringing in a decent manager.
If the club are not prepared to pay compensation then they are definitely not going to pay wages for a decent manager :banghead:

But unless we pay at least the first 6m Euro instalment due on the Sala transfer (which the club have said they won`t) to comply with the FIFA ruling from way back in September 2019 and supported by the August 2022 CAS ruling in support of FIFA , how are we going to persuade any decent manager to come here and operate under a three window transfer embargo?

Firstly, to stress I am not a Tan fan. I am totally against the way he acts as a dictator in his business style(as he is used to back in Malaysia) and won`t listen to anyone else`s opinion unless it agrees with his own.

However, I do believe that Neil Warnock stitched him up by going behind the directors` backs to persuade VT to do the Sala deal at a transfer price and wages rate that seemed to be way above the market rate *(the directors have said so) and of main benefit to his friend Willie McKay rather than CCFC.

Someone on here also said that NW did a good job at Middlesbrough but he didn`t last long there after their owner called into question some of his suggested transfer deals and which football agency they should be done through - the benefit of a club owner having football knowledge.
