Michael Carrick named New Boro manager

Solid appointment.
He was highly rated at Manchester United. They wanted to keep him on the coaching staff but he left because he wanted a managerial role.
Think he'll do well there and go on to be a successful manager.

If we had appointed him this message board would be awash with people moaning “he’s got no managerial experience” !!!
Perish the thought we take a gamble on somebody who could actually change things.

It sounds like a gamle, but I have a feeling he knows the game well, and seems to have the right character, but who knows?
