Firstly, let me say that my personal opinion runs alongside that of Forever Blue in that the Bluebirds were 'up' for this game and were better under immense pressure than some on here would have us believe
After a decent start, the sending off the petulant Callum Robinson after only 7 minutes was, regardless of whether it was deserved or not, was the pivotal moment of this game and it gave the Bluebirds an uphill battle for more than 83 mins
Having said that, the 10 Bluebirds on the field put up a decent enough fight and repelled the Swans until a strange but well taken goal from Cooper saw the Jacks take the lead just before half-time. Disappointing for the Bluebird faithful but with 10 men we were always going to be under pressure
HALF-TIME SCORE: SWANSEA TOWN 1 - 0 CARDIFF CITY
For the escond half, Mark Hudson had to make a change or changes and opted to replace Ojo with the busy Harris and he chased and harried in familiar style. But the truth was that the Swans were in control overall and (as I said in the match thread) able to do so by stretching us with their more controlled passing game
There was always 'hope' as the game remained at 1 - 0 but the truth of the matter is that we didn't really threaten their goal and the scoring of the Swans second effectively killed the game as a competition; and they might have had more...
I asked myself a couple of questions:
Was this performance as bad as the one at the CCS last season?
The answer is an emphatic 'no' but the score might easily have been the same had Obafemi and one or two others taken their chances
Do I blame Robinson for the result?
That's a tough one, as I'm still not convinced it was a sending off in such a game but undoubtedly his petulance led to us having 10 men for the vast majority of an already tough game.
Those calling for him 'never to play another game for the Bluebirds' are overreacting though and he will be pivotal in getting things turned around when we have a manager who can actually change things
Very disappointing result, of course and one the Jacks will dine put on for some time to come. That is the nature of such games and we move on to the next one, where we hope we have the managers and players in place to turn this poor run around
FINAL SCORE: SWANSEA TOWN 2 - 0 CARDIFF CITY

Robinson is an idiot, a so called professional left all his team mates in dead lumber. Should be fined a months wages clown,

Was far better performance especially under the circumstances and playing a side that consistently get 75% possession so always going to be difficult game even with 11 men.. as for red card one simple question to those doubting it was a red? What did Robinson do with the ball in his hands..... he deliberately threw it bounced it or whatever from 1ft at players head... no one can doubt thats what he did and as such it's a red card no ambiguity as only red card can be given as its violent conduct ... what's worse is we have got no foward cover next 3 games and struggling as it is to score.. if not careful we will be bottom 3 before world cup... Hudson needs to find a formula to get best out what we got upfront but tall order considering what's gone on previous games.

Robinson aggressively threw the ball into Cabango's face. It was a clear red card and as a very well paid, experienced player, I have no sympathy for him. He's let our football club down and should be disciplined for his unprofessional conduct.

In my opinion Robinson was to blame for our defeat we got off to a decent start whether you agree or not that it was a sending off he shouldn’t have done what he did so early in the game these are powder keg games you got to keep a level head yes cabango made a meal of it but you can’t raise youre hand or shove the ball in some one face he let us the fans down and his teammates and the club down it’s had enough going to the Liberty has it is with out the added problem of a early sending off

Never mind this game we have now got to go into 3 games without a proper goalscorer when we are already struggling to score..his decision could be disastrous for us before world cup.

I agree with Sven, it wasn't that bad, nowhere near the appalling 4-0 at home. They were at home 1-0 was almost the most expected score with 11 men, with a man down, 2-0 isn't that bad.
The issue for me is the Jacks are light-years ahead of us off the field and it translates onto it. I am just a supporter who buys a season ticket and quite happy to ride the Vinny train as long as it's his money, not mine. If he wants friends and family as his advisors then cool, it's his choice. But, as we are now in footballing austerity he needs to get people around him who know what they are doing or this is going south pretty quickly.
I don't think the Jacks are great off field, i have a fair few friends from there, its we are simply inept as a club.

Yes why not but Hudson needs to be bold and play 442 or similar ... not 451 we simply don't have players to play such system effectively

Best Cardiff display in the last three Derbies even if there only tactic was to waste time and hope for a breakaway goal. At least they did not capitulate like the last two matched still a record breaking 3 straight wins for the Best team in Wales.

Ironically Swansea’s two Welsh players Cabango and Cooper were both rejected by Cardiff as youngsters despite Cooper’s Dad Keith being our former player and under 21 Coach! My grandson is playing for Cardiff City Academy at present,I hope he does end up with the Jacks!

Cooper's dad was former Bluebird player
Kevin Cooper but I'm sure you meant to write that
However, former Premier League Referee
Keith Cooper, dad of former Swans and now Forest manager Steve Cooper, was also a talented player on the Bluebirds books until injury forced him out of the professional game and on to a notable career with the whistle

The really disappointing thing for me was that as soon as Robinson was sent off I knew we would lose it was damage limitation for 85 minutes
However, be honest here if the Jacks had a player sent of after 5 minutes would we have gone on to win the game?? It hurts me to say it but I don’t think we would have!!!
At the moment we are a team with no leadership, an interim manager, a board that has gone AWOL and a absent owner
Anyone who thinks we are not in anything but a relegation battle think again because we are!!

I'm hoping all the deluded Cardiff fans will soon realise Tan needs to go, as we few have said for many years.
