After last seasons disastrous results v the Jacks New Manager Hudson has vowed to bring the pride back in to the club.



In the last six matches against Swansea , Cardiff have managed just one goal and lost five times. Thankfully for City fans, that one goal was Aden Flint's last year and it proved to be the winner down at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Perry Ng is being monitored. We will give him as much time as he needs. He got a whack. We will see what the situation is before the game. It was above the ankle.

Mahlon Romeo still hasn’t been able to complete a session yet, so another one to monitor. It’s not too bad. He is on his way back. We will have to see how he progresses in the next day or so.

Rubin unfortunately has not been able to complete a full session. He has a protocol to get him back to the field of play and he hasn’t completed that. We’ll monitor that over the next few days. He is important to us and we could do with him back.

Won Jack Simpson appeal?





Yeah. Which is a good thing! It proves the decision was wrong in the game. But it changed the game and we can’t do anything about it from now on. It’s good from them to make that decision after. It proves we knew it was wrong at the time.

I’m not here to tell people how to do their job. It’s hurt us in the game. We have spoken about it with the players, what do you do when you feel things are going against you? Spin it in a positive light for us.

Hudson: We will show Swansea what we are about

Mark Hudson has come out fighting following his side's 3-0 defeat by QPR, vowing that his side will put in a performance everyone will be "proud of" against Swansea City on Sunday.

The Bluebirds are coming off the back of two successive defeats and have a poor derby record when you look at the last three seasons. But Hudson insists form goes out the window when it comes to derby day.



Cardiff have a number of important players who are a doubt for this weekend, with Perry Ng the most recent following his injury at Loftus Road. Hudson was undeterred, though, and strident in his message to supporters.


MARK HUDSON:


"We will muster an XI and we will go there and put a performance together, which you will be proud of," he said after the game.

"I don't think you can look at form going into the game. It's important to us, we have spoken about it already. We will go there on Sunday, stick together and show them what we are about."

Absolutely not. It should mean the most. We should play with passion and play with pride and understand what it means to the club and its fans.

We have pointed it out to them. Spoken about how much it means to us all, the staff, the fans, the history of the game. We wanted to do that.

It means everything to me.

The record has not been good enough. We need to turn up and play for the badge, each other and the fans. I’ve played in them and I can translate across what it means.

It sits with you for a long period of time. Not something I want to revisit if I’m honest. It should hurt. You need to play with pride and passion until the very last.

Cardiff City manager Mark Hudson told BBC Radio Wales:

"I feel sorry for the players and the fans because the turning point was the penalty and sending-off which is very difficult to take.

"He [Jack Simpson] was the right side of the player and the forward has kicked the back of his leg. I was surprised it was also a red card and we will have to look to see if we can do anything [appeal] about it. It was very disappointing.

"However we didn't start well and you can't do that. We kept in the game by grinding away against a team in form but then a decision goes like that."

Last two results we’ve been on the wrong side of decisions. They change the game which is disappointing. We have XI on the field and it changes the game. We had a goal disallowed for offside. The three previous games we did really well. The group is still together. They are still playing until the last whistle without a player.
