The Allowance is not a salary, and is reimbursed to the ex PM for costs incurred should they continue to carry out public duties. Whatever that may be. So they can only claim any of it against receipts. Blair rips the guts out of, Major uses it, Cameron claims nigh on the full amount, and May seems to claim about 50% or so. As mentioned, a job in uk politics seems to be a lovely gravy train one way or another.

Remember the film "Anne of a 1000 days" starring Richard Burton" perhaps we could have a Netflix bonanza " Liz of 44 days" starring Catherine Tate as Liz and Lenny Henry as Kwasi Catastrophe.....thoughts please
