A forum for all things Cardiff City

What are your pet hates in football.
I'll start and it's when fans accuse match officials of being "cheats".
Terrible decision by the referee on Saturday to disallow Robinson's goal. I was in Canton and could tell he wasn't offside, no matter the thinking on whether the defender had control of the ball.
But I refuse to believe any match official is a "cheat". They've made it to this level for a reason but you have to allow for human error and it was a mistake.
The others would be those who leave early (I could leave five minutes early from home games and get home earlier, but have never and will never leave a Cardiff City game early - no matter what the score is) and those who boo their own players.

Flagging for coming back from Offside position? Must be daftest rule in the book...

Where do I start?
Players not retreating 10yards at a free kick and refs letting them get away with it.
Players grabbing the ball for whatever reason when it's not their free kick or throw in.
Rolling around on the floor when they've barely been touched.
Waving an imaginary card at the ref to get him to book a fellow pro.
Appealing for a penalty every time they are tackled in the box
Appealing for a handball every time an opponent controls it with the chest.
But worst of all is the abuse the officials have to put up with but shouldn't.
Wouldn't it be great to see a linesman stick his flag up Klopp's arse after being abused. or chuck his flag down and walk off?
The list is endless, and this brilliant game of ours is beginning to piss me off after watching and supporting for 60 years.

Var ..... Need to restrict what it can adjudicate on.... disalowing perfectly good goals by looking st things super slow motion. Like today at liverpool...

The fact we don’t have ‘blood subs’ as in rugby. Two players go up for high ball, ours needs stitches and theirs doesn’t, we are down to 10 men till our stitched player returns. Same for head injury assessment, we shouldn’t be penalised.

Teams playing in an away or “third” strip when they don’t need to. Like Man City at Liverpool yesterday.

The same shit songs in every ground but a word changed.
The bovril ands sit down grounds.
Over paid fannys rolling about from a gust of wind.
Crying fans if they won't win every week or manager out chants after 10 games because they have not won every game.
Tbh modern football is dogshit from top to bottom imo the list is endless really for my pet hates.

Talk of progressive football or playing the right way. Liverpool won yesterday playing long ball after long ball against an unlimited budget playing the right way.
Its fantasy stuff unless you can outspend the rest of your division

When the linesman flags for offside when he reckons he saw it and seems oblivious to the fact that it is from when it leaves the foot of the passer and NOT when he see's it.
Admittedly, very had to spot sometimes and some decisions are 50/50 but some others seem pretty blatant and make me wonder if some of these officials know the rulebook?

The lack of support behind the managers. I get it if they have been there a long time or it is properly going downhill like at the end of McCarthys reign, but sometimes they lose one game and its doom and gloom.

Some of the songs that are sung.
My most hated song is the Jack song referring to their Fathers.

Yeah any song that isn't about supporting our club and about them lot instead just makes us look small.
I remember watching a game where WBA were the away side and all they sung about was Villa and Birmingham and it was pathetic.
