Player Ratings - my thoughts

Heaton 7 Didn’t have a huge amount to do, but good kicking generally

McNaughton 8 Played well, liked to get forward a lot today too
Hudson 7 Im his biggest critic, but made some great tackles today, still a liability at times though
Gypes 7 Strong in the air, generally safe
Naylor 5 Awful. Had a torrid time as everything was aimed at him from goal kicks, had wayward passes, and generally slow in the game

Whittingham 7 Pretty ‘normal’ game hif Whitts, but didn’t have masses of opportunities to get involved
McPhail 6 A few good tackles but looked tired hence the substitution
Blake 7 Had a hard start to the game and seemed a bit lost. Some great battling for Darcy today, took a few knocks, but did the best he could in centre mid. Plenty of niggle in him which i like.
Burke 8 Great attacking play from Chris again, always looks a threat.

Bothroyd 8 Good start, and looked strong on the ball again. Seemed to drop a bit deeper than normal, but had a good game. Great cross for the goal too.
Keogh 6 Largely ineffective, but fantastic header and full of running

fair play you seen a better game than me because I thought it was a truly awful performance; I don’t think I can give credit to anyone really.

Heaton 6 – at times looked dodgy but didn’t really have anything to save
Naylor 4 – ok going forward but totally lost today in defence, kept getting beat so easily.
Gypes 5 – very easily beaten today on several occasions
Hudson 6 – made some good challanges but like Gypes he looked lost at times. Let players run at them, didn’t close down and positioning was all over the place
McNaughton 7 – solid and kept going but hardly his best day
Witts 5 – missed the pen and just didn’t really get involved.
Blake 5 – made a few tackles but wasted possession and failed like the defence to close down, the first 30 minutes Millwall must have been amazed at the space we were give them in defence.
McPhail 4 – never got going at all
Burke 6 – not his best day but kept going and going
Keogh 7 – worked very hard and makes such intelligent runs, if only McPhail and Witts would play there game and play him through. Also a good and very important goal. I think he will score more headed goals than Jay this season.
Jay 6 – didn’t really turn up and wasted a few chances.

Our fans 5 – made a bit of noise but generally quiet. Got on the players back most of the second half and I was very disappointed to hear boo’s at 64mins

A win always add's a point on to everyone scores automatically

The important thing is we got the 3 points, and now we can hopefully get some of the absent people back one by one...

i agree with that we were shocking and lucky to beat 10 men

I dont think anyone deserved more than a 6 today the passing from everyone was poor. But to win when your playing bad is a good sign another 3 points on tuesday will do for me.
