I hope they just let him go game by game and don’t rush into anything.
We’ve seen in it in the past before managers sign a contract and things take a turn for the worse. Not saying it’ll happen but when things are going good just don’t rush into it.
A bit like Bournemouth are doing Gary o Neil is working wonders at the moment and there 8th in the prem! They were relegated a few weeks ago to many fans.
Let’s just hope they don’t rush into it and just go game by game!

Your spot on.
The pattern has to be broken and the circus stopped.

I agree. Three games is nothing. They should give at least 10 games then assess him.
Tbf he’s done well in first 3 though. Really enjoyed the Wigan game. We looked so dangerous on the break, particularly when Robinson was on.

Totally agree with the OP
I can't comment on the game today, as it stands, because I'm away and waiting to see the highlights
Mark Hudson will be more than happy to be on a game by game basis and on current form there is no urgency in making a decision
So far, he has stepped up well and is to be lauded for that but it's not time to commit quite yet but the signs are there he might just be the man for this squad...

Completely agree.

Give him till January 1st ,remember he's got a contract already .

Firstly, Very well done to MH , seems to have got them firing now the SM buys were very shrewd.
This is a good group of young players and I am optimistic for this season and the future.
Of course we all feel UP when we have a good run of results and vice versa.
As far as MH extended contract is concerned, I can see both sides of the argument and it does seem that when a manager or player gets an extended contract(with exceptions) they seem to feel safe and coast.
From watching MH play for us, his attitude and recent comments on living in Cardiff, he seems to have an affinity for our great club.
With a lot of Championship managers getting the push lately with more on the horizon, hope we are careful as you can be sure plenty of other club boards looking for younger progressive managers and we don't loose a diamond.

Club has never said given 3 games?
Unless you think Scott Johnson actually gas credibility then it is a load of rubbish

Totally agree game by game let’s see how results go until the end of the month still think we should bring in a good experienced manager but not a dinesour

Let us get the Swansea game out of the way before making any decision.
Sun Oct 09, 2022 8:58 am
What kind of small minded nonsense would result in how we perform against Swansea to be the deciding factor in offering somebody a job?!
Sun Oct 09, 2022 9:26 am
Im guessing he means get the Swansea game out of the way as in when decisions are made it can upset the balance and flow etc as discussed above. So get Swansea game out of way if still looking best man for job then decide

Yep good translation
You'd be surprised how Bristol and Swansea games influence managers support with some of our fans

Giving a manager a contract is the way its always worked(just like a player).I don't think Morison was sacked on purely football terms but thats just my guess. People were also moaning when the club hasn't acted quick enough in the past so it seems they can't win in the eyes of some. I'm just glad the club didn't appoint someone like Wilder or Bruce like many were calling for. I think he should get the job, at least if he turns out to be wrong at least he won't break the bank to get rid of. He knows the squad well(he was here before most of them) and if yesterdays performance is anything to go by knows what he doing. When you think of some of the players and managers we've signed we as a club should know that throwing loads of money at a problem doesn't necessarily cure it.

Fair play!
Dare I say it but January transfers could push us in top 6 BUT we need that striker as can't rely on one
Plus the team needs to stop panicking when we concede
Sun Oct 09, 2022 12:15 pm
Let’s give a one year rolling contract.
