Mahlon Romeo out of Wigan clash

Mahlon Romeo is likely to miss this weekend's clash with Blackburn Rovers owing to an ankle injury he sustained against Blackburn Rovers.

Romeo was brought off in the 23rd minute and replaced by Jack Simpson in the home win on Tuesday night and it appears this weekend's clash with Wigan will be too soon for him.

"Romeo has got an injury to his ankle. It’s settled better than it looked after the game. It’s looking likely he will probably miss the weekend. We are waiting on the timescale of that one," Hudson said of Romeo.

"He has been really good. He’s a good character. Top professional and started the game really well. It’s a shame.

"Throughout the season he has been a great addition to the squad. Fingers crossed it’s not too bad."

It is likely Perry Ng will shift over to the right-back position, with Simpson set to come in for a start at the heart of the defence. However, Hudson has also spoken highly of Vontae Daley-Campbell's work ethic in training and he is also pushing for involvement.

"He has been training really well. Really well," Hudson said of Daley-Campbell. "He puts himself about in training, leaves it all on the grass. Hopefully we won’t lose Mahlon for long. It shows the squad we’ve got."

I forgot about Campbell as he hasn’t even featured on the bench for ages. Has to be NG to start though

Been really impressed with Romeo over the last few games, wasn't convinced at begining of season but has certainly stepped up since the Millwall game in my eyes :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
