I know players get injured - and that’s not their fault - but nowadays it takes so long to get them back. Particularly mystifying is those that the young lads get. Surely their youth is an advantage not a disadvantage. And growing pains is bizarre. Didn’t have those in the old days. Looking forward to seeing Adams play. Terribly unlucky and I'm sure he’s going to be good. But a fortnight ago Morrison said he’s no far away. Maybe 2 weeks. Now we are told he’s on the grass. I don’t get it. Again I stress it’s not their fault but by the time some of them come back - before the World Cup - the season will be halfway through.

It's all to do with sports science? Players can be pulled from a game if the science boys think he is likely to pick up muscle damage if he plays.... if you are paying big money to have sports science at club your going to listen to them.... players can and do play through pain barrier but it's more than likely because it wont do long term damage.....
