" MARK HARRIS CAN HE? '

Can Striker Mark Harris finally make it as a Championship Striker???

Mark Harris: Cardiff City 6 years professional , 68 appearances , 8 goals.

Went on loan to Newport League 2: 20 appearances, 3 goals

Went on loan to Port Vale League 2: 6 appearances, 0 goals

Went on loan to Wrexham Non League: 28 appearances, 3 goals

Harris has scored a few stunning goals in his 6th year as a professional footballer for Cardiff City, but they have been rarer than rare.

Mark Harris is 24 years old in a few weeks, has played under 6 different Cardiff managers who have all given him a chance, but some how has failed.

BUT under the new system and the way Cardiff now play and having the full backing of Mark Hudson can he finally succeed??

For me this is really his last chance for City, his contract runs out this season.

Will never be prolific but I have noticed improvements in his overall game that suggest he should be a useful squad player and one who can be used as an impact sub.
Harris should be aiming for 10-12 goals this season

he's good enough to play wide of the striker, a bit like Watters, i wouldn't play them through the middle but either side of the main striker, they're brilliant runners and work non stop, i don't think he's the answer though if you are relying on him as your main striker.

Yes def an improvement and to earn another contract here, he needs in my opinion as well 10-12 goals this season for us :bluebird: :bluebird:

For me def not the answer, but as he was cheap he was kept on, so we have to prey he succeeds.

The lad gives everything, but like you, i feel he cant be the main striker, but wide of a striker.

Watters def a NO for me.

No chance as a striker but he has been causing absolute havoc for the other team every time he’s come on cutting in from the left.

Would like to see him start on the left and try O’Dowda cutting in from the right behind Robinson.

No point playing out and out wingers as no one gets in the box for crosses

We asked the same question after the Boro game. He raises hopes and then has a few poor games.

Let’s forget whether he’s cheap or not, it’s whether he’s good enough or not.

I have my doubts. But I certainly agree that he has improved significantly over the last 6 months and is head and shoulders above Watters in terms of quality.

I’m not wholly convinced but, like a number of others, he does look better now that we have Robinson.

I want him to do well and there’s certainly no lack of effort in the games or in his willingness to improve.

No doubt he has to do it this season if it is going to happen for him.

Exactly.

The ‘cheap’ jibe is just an excuse to have a go.

I’ve always said Harris is a decent squad player for us and he’s showing that for sure.

At the moment he’s proving he’s good enough to start most games and until we find or buy better then, for me, he’s doing great!
