“ MARK HUDSON UPDATES CARDIFF CITY FANS “ Thursday 6th October 2022
Hudson so far has won 1 and drawn 1 of his first 2 games in charge, City next face Wigan away.
It looks like Hudson has been given an indefinite amount of games and has been told he can bring in an assistant.
Cardiff are 15th in the Championship but only 3pts of the play-offs.
Wigan were last night beaten by lowly Hull City.
Cardiff say there is NO recall clause in Cedric Kipre's season-long loan deal from West Brom. Massive boost for the Bluebirds.
MARK HUDSON:
"Romeo has got an injury to his ankle. It’s settled better than it looked after the game. It’s looking likely he will miss the weekend. Waiting on the timescale.
"He has been really good. He’s a good character. Top professional and started the game really well. It’s a shame.
"Throughout the season he has been a great addition to the squad. Fingers crossed it’s not too bad."

"If they are not fit to start they won’t be involved. Injuries happen. Let’s hope it’s not too long.
"Perry has been brilliant. I praise him all the time. His form has been so consistent for such a long period of time.
"He reads the game so well. He’s good with the ball. His positional sense is really good. He works well with Cedric. But Jack has been pushing to get involved. He came on and did well as well. Testament to them as well."

"Away games are tough. We are travelling tomorrow afternoon. We looked at Wigan today, showed the players what to expect. Have to play with the same level of intensity. We have asked them to go up there and perform."

"Yeah it’s pleasing to see. More we do that it’s going to be more regular occasions for the forward players to be in those attacking areas.

Update on Adams, Colwill and Davies?
"Isaak is starting to get going but is limited with weight-bearing. Rubin had a nick in his hip-flexor.
"Rubin is out for a couple of weeks maybe, he has started to creep back on the grass.
"Ebs is edging closer back to the grass. Before the World Cup is the plan. He is such a good character to have around. He has stayed so positive.
"He is still walking around the training ground with a smile on his face. I think it looks likely he will be back before the World Cup. We will have to see if he reacts when he gets back on to the grass."

The penalty save v Blackburn Rovers

"Rocky (Allsop) did brilliantly, the homework they do behind the scenes... the information which was brought on by Sparky. He delivered the information and he saved the penalty. But Rocky did try and raise the heart rate a little bit!."
"Graham Stack goes through all different types of penalty takers. They go through it all, how hard they work behind the scenes, the little details, and that's one of them.
"Sparky told Rocky to tell him what he (Hirst) had done previously and Rocky has done his duties. I think we'd have been hard done by not to get three points if I'm honest.
"People work so hard, the analytics team, they work day and night to deliver all the information. It just goes to show the team behind the team."
Mark Harris, the message carrier, said: "Stacky was screaming at me on the side. I was thinking, 'What does he want me for?'
"He said, 'Tell him, if it's Hirst hitting the penalty, go left.' So I told him. He went and he saved it. I'll take the assist!
"As soon as the final whistle went I ran over to him, I was buzzing for him. If they score that it's one point, if he saves that it's three points. That's huge for us."
Hudson, who earned his first win as caretaker manager. At the end of the match, the vocal Canton Stand belted out "Mark Hudson's Barmy Army", which the interim boss was pleased about.

Cedric Kipre has been included in the Championship Team of Midweek earlier today.

Hudson responds to Ledley and Gabbidon speculation
Mark Hudson responded to questions about speculation surrounding Joe Ledley and Danny Gabbidon being linked with the vacant spot on Cardiff City's coaching staff.
Hudson has confirmed he has been given the green light to add another member to his coaching staff, with Ledley's name being flung about on social media in the last few days.
Asked if there was any update on the search for a new coach to join his staff, he said he was "getting there" but does not want to rush the process.
Asked specifically about Ledley and Gabbidon, Hudson replied: " There is going to be speculation. Two people who have been at the football club and know what it means… I have to make sure it’s the right one.
"I’m best mates with Joe so obviously he is going to be linked. They have been here before. But I have spoke to quite a few coaches in the game. I just want to make sure it’s the right one for the football club. It won’t be rushed."
