Kipre hails growing team spirit following Rovers win

Cedric Kipre claims Tuesday's win over Blackburn Rovers shows there's now a growing level of understanding within Cardiff City's new-look squad.

Kipre produced a magnificent man-of-the-match display as his side claimed a deserved 1-0 win over the visitors at a wet Cardiff City Stadium, handing interim boss Mark Hudson his first win at the Bluebirds helm.

The centre-back was one of 17 players to arrive in the capital during a hugely busy summer, but says there is a growing level of team spirit inside the City dressing room.

CEDRIC KIPRE:

"We've got a big squad, a new squad, but everyone gets on with each other, and it feels like we've known each other for a long time," he said.

"I think we've started feeling that on the pitch now, which is great. I hope we keep going that way.

"The fans are great. They've been patient with us, and even if we miss a couple of chances, they are still behind us. This is very important for us as a team, and I hope they keep going that way.

"The games are coming really quick. We just need to play, recover, and go again. I think we're ready for it."

I was really impressed with how the whole squad left the field yesterday, you could easily see the unity they have, it seemed a lot more than `I have seen in a long while, yes it was after a win, but the reaction of the whole squad was impressive.

I agree mate. I saw it that way at the end too.

Kipre is pure quality, the sort we should be buying if we had the budget. I can see him being recalled by WBA sadly as he's a standout.

Thanks -I've just had that emailed to me that there's no January recall clause, the link is below. Good on the club for negotiating that as it would have been a big blow. Good to see you posting again Bow.

I wouldn't trust anything Scott "it's happening" Johnson says.

His speculative guessing hoping he gets it right once, so he thinks he has the big scoop to boost his credibility, is pathetic.

This is probably yet another statement from him he has got wrong.

No recall but they could sell him to another club if an offer were to be made

Im friends with a long term WBA season ticket holder who rates both Kipre and Robinson

That’s what he’s on, or that’s what we should offer? I’m positive it was said at the time of having him that there was an option to buy too
