Same loyal fans ,when we are up the top or in the premiership we do better but still a good core support.

Wez,

If we can keep above the 18,000 home average ( including an average of about 1,200 away fans ), that’s a decent home average

If our season is over come March like last year we won't but a relegation or promotion fight and we'll hit those targets

Outside the Prem years! compared to Ninian park when I was a kid, 3-5k in the early 90s, still poor we should do better the club has changed so much, helped the crowd etc.. but when doing ok, the average is 16-20k we have more potential than that, but unless at the top level, we don't do it, shame big city, big club. and a good area outside of Cardiff to call on.

been there, only come when winning.

Why do people think football is any different from other sports in regards to fans support? Most teams whatever they play get high and low support depending on how successful they are? Yes always exceptions but we are talking about middle of the road teams like city..... take away the contribution of away fans at all championship clubs and you will get better picture of how many fans actually support a team.... we have around 16k attendance of home fans at games which is not bad considering all that's been going on at club and outside it in the world.... always remember playing Hereford normal crowd 6k maybe? that game 30k+ why such an increase just Because an oposition manager ridiculed our support? .
Get relegated be less fans get promoted be more its really that simple. :old:

I also think its a South Wales thing, far too much commitment to go and support your club, far prefer the armchair or bar. We just love an occasion.

Just look at the national game, rugby   Even the Jacks get more than all the regions put together. Play an international and they are all out, 70K in the ground with another 70K in Cardiffs pubs. Always surprised by the stories of how many Welsh travel for the lion's games, for such a small part of the Island

Hope all the nationists in the red wall don't disappear when the golden boys retire and we struggle a bit, but i am not holding my breath either.
