MY VIEW: “ WELL & TRULY DESERVED TONIGHT “

Tue Oct 04, 2022 8:55 pm

CARDIFF CITY 1 BLACKBURN 0
H-T 0-0 :bluebird: :bluebird:

Crowd only 16,150

Last minute dramatic as Allsop gave penalty away and then saved it. City would if felt robbed.

:bluebird:

Before tonight Cardiff had one win in their last eight games

Well and truly deserved victory tonight by the Bluebirds in the Cardiff stadium that sadly looked so empty.

Patience in their build ups

Continually attacked Blackburn

Callum Robinson always looked a big threat

Bringing Ralls and Harris in in the second-half changed the game and what a goal by Mark Harris

Some really good football by Cardiff tonight and never gave up.

That’s 4pts from 6 pts for Mark Hudson

Cant fault City tonight

Kipre my man of the match

Wigan away next.

Was well deserved and great to have that fortune at the end. As Blackburn deserved nothing from that game

Jules they are poor excuses and not ones which would stop fans. It’s the lack of direction and intent from the club

Absolutely deserved the win Jules.

But if we were top of the league, would it be the same crowd?

I have 3 season tickets, No one wanted them tonight.
I will be back for Coventry home, then Sunderland away

Good all round performance tonight topped up with a bit of well deserved luck and a good save from the penalty.

Robinson makes a hell of a difference but Mark Harris was superb when he came on after an excellent performance on Saturday.
He never stopped running and working.

League 1 blah, blah, blah.

It’s purely results.

We have the same direction and intent and the crowds have been higher at the start of the season.

It’s all based on success.

Going by those figures those that are missing are the walk up crowd? Normal match day its at least 4k seeing as got around 14k st holders can easily see where the shortfall is... annis you need to get better seats my two was snapped up as couldn't go tonight.. :laughing6:

Well said
i said before when harris scored his last goal layed on by Robinson perhaps harris has needed service luck confidence what ever he always works his socks off
i am so pleased for him
We wiped the floor with a team in 6th before tonights game
cracking performance
And believe this could be the turning point for the fans
that win has probably put another 500 to wigan and the next home against coventry should see a better attendance.

Agree totally We deserved that victory but it was looking like a mist opportunity, then up stepped Harris :occasion5: Some great performances Kipre,Rhino,Robinson but I thought Perry NG played great all game in both positions.
Feels massive to have this win :bluescarf:

As a wide forward i believe Harris probably can make it at championship level but not as a center-forward, that's another well taken goal

Perry was excellent, so different from Mahlon but both very effective.

Robinson puts a shift in

Just goes to show how much I don't know, i was disappointed when we signed O'Dowda and ecstatic when we signed Sawyers...Really insure on Sawyers,Ojo and the Villa lad but stiil early days :ayatollah:

Kipre is just a steal, don't know how long we'll keep him but what a player

Train strike as well. I know a few people who didn't make it as a result.

BTW let's give Mark Harris some credit, that was an outstanding goal. He is coming on leaps and bounds for us.

Being On sky would have curtailed the walk up crowd... would be interesting how many st holders didn't turn up that live like myself a fair distance away and didn't give seats away if didn't go.... I always give my 2 to family or the people who sit near us ..... using the average matchday walk up crowd last night there was several thousand of them missing .

Allan ,

Even though mine were not used they were still counted.
The real attendance looked about 13,000.

Not poor excuses at all as this has happened for years and years before Mr Tan, before Sam its just the way its always been IMHO.
Me, I just cannot justify costs this year so maybe I should change my signature lol.
