Bought a stream for our game on Saturday

Tue Oct 04, 2022 6:52 pm

Never again, not until the club is run properly with a focus on supporters. Paid the £10 for a stream, it cut out after 5 minutes. Emailed the club to request a refund, they didn't even respond. This club is being run as a joke operation.

No problem here in the USofA with the stream, check your internet rather than blame the club who don't actually have anything to do with running it.

Ofcourse it's the clubs fault. My internet was working fine. The buck stops with the club. Who would you blame for the club not even replying to an Email?

You must have bought your pass via a proxy and they are dodgy like that, You generally need an above average connection to make it work.

The stream is provided by a 3rd party connected to efl..... so how does that make it clubs fault? You will have to ask tomorrow why didn't answer email bet you've had other emails go unanswered before though from other companies Ect.... if someone in usa can see entire game that should tell you it's not the stream or do you think club puts out individual streams to fans and yours didn't work? Come on use bit common sense and see it's more likely a technical fault at your end....:o

if you are in the uk as stated last week, you would have been using a vpn, probably the vpn may have been an issue

Was just about to post same.... this thread is just an unnecessary bash at club when the OP knows he is in wrong was told cannot watch in uk ... as u say vpn was problem as probably used freebie one with poor connections... also got to be careful how you set up as stream providers will pick up person is in uk using vpn.

You have not purchased anything for a stream on a Saturday 3pm KO from the club itself. The only time you are able to purchase a stream of any game is outside of Saturday 3pm KOs, this is a EFL condition with all clubs in the EFL, it sounds as if you purchased a Pup

It is possible to purchase a stream in the UK if you are using a vpn , the vpn makes it appear you are abroad

Yes very true but have to be careful how you do it otherwise system will know your in uk....and need to use good vpn not some freebie that's got dodgy connections even with decent one stream doesn't always work properly....

I haven't posted this topic before Allan you senile fucker

Maccy Dee, why find very poor supporter relations funny? Are you still on a pay roll?

My Email was along the lines of ...Paid for a stream, it cut out after 5 minutes i'd like a refund and this sort of shambles clearly isn't just restricted to on field affairs"

Allan, the Email to the club wouldn't indicate if i were using a VPN. Don't be so silly, why you are defending a football club that completely blanks a paying supporter i Don't know? Maybe you're Looking for a season ticket upgrade? ;)
I did use a VPN because i can't attend games due to being in hospital. And yes i do think this is symptomatic of the club in a rudderless mess on and off the pitch. And yes i do blame Tan ultimately, he's a dictator, so the buck stops with the dictator.

This is like complaining to Trading Standards about your coke dealer because of their poor quality blow.

That said did you use this email address cardifftvsupport@streamamg.com they run the stream but I feel they will advise that you were not eligible for the service and therefore cannot help.

Therein lies the solution... potentially

You say you are/were in hospital - were you using the hospital wifi??

Hospital wifi is notoriously crud, provided usually by an outside service who charge shedloads for a severely mediocre service. That service will hugely degrade when you put a VPN over the top to boot, simply due to the system overheads involved in VPNing to anything such as a live footie stream.

If you were trying via your own phone internet, then perhaps they throttle the heck out of VPN'd connections.

Dont forget any VPN, involves data up to VPN, data from VPN to footie stream, footie stream back to VPN, VPN to your device via whatever links are needed inbetween.

To be honest, I've watched the city all over the place in the back of the van via my phone or random wifi feeds I find - some are good, others stutter like nothing on earth, some have stutters on stutters. Its just part and parcel of how it is if you're watching the city on anything other than a genuine matchday Sky broadcast or stream. Even they can hiccup every now and then.

It is the nature of the streaming/connected world we live in - everyone wants a piece of that cable or airwave that the stuff is coming across... and its usually the bloke who's paying the most that gets the bestest connection.

Funnily enough I am in charge of looking after streams for the club.

I deliberately made sure the chap in America could watch his but stopped yours from working properly. Tan told me to.

In all seriousness there are providers of iptv on here who would provide a service where you can watch city games via a firestick.

Let's get this right.... you illegally tried to get a stream for city game because the stream didn't work you want the club to reimburse you? I suggest you contact club tell them you were using a vpn to watch game and see what they say? As for knowing your using VPN presume you put in your personal details like home adress did you use a .co.uk email address if so that could tell them you live in uk on it's own... like said got to be careful how you get city tv with vpn there is such thing as AI that can detect where you are.... as for me being senile well obviously your not thinking straight to blame club for a service that they provide but you had no right to use ....... finally looking for upgrade ST mmmm I have halfway line (above dugouts) front row level 4 aisle seats... probably the best in stadium  :laughing6:
Ps why shouldn't I defend club against someone who is trying to defame it like you are ?

Cheers for the sensible reply mate. I am using the hospital wifi but it's always quite fast with zero problems. What pissed me off and pointed to the problem being theirs on not mine, was the fact that it worked perfectly for 5 minutes then cut out.

Allan, you can use a .co.uk email anywhere in the world. It is no indicator of where you currently may be on planet earth. And for that reason the club were completely out of order for ignoring a supporters query. I jokingly called you senile but i'm beginning to wonder

That would usually indicate that your VPN is shit and the site identified ur IP address as a UK one. Did you try switching up VPNs, clearing cache etc or did you immediately blame Tan?

As others have said you are complaining about the fact that you tried to access a stream illegally (and by the sounds of it not done that very well) so not sure what sympathy you're hoping for here mate hahah.

Re: Bought a stream for our game on Saturday

Sat Oct 08, 2022 2:07 pm

So we believe it wasn't the stream quality as it was fine for 5 minutes, you say the internet in the hospital worked perfectly and that you used a vpn to access the game which is against the rules and you knew that so I would guess your vpn was a cheap one & the streaming company has stopped it after 5 minutes as something told them you were using their service against the terms & conditions. We also know the stream was fine because you were the only known issue.

Then you blame the club that has nothing to do with the actual stream rather than the streaming company, both of whom probably wouldn't answer you anyway as you were breaking their terms & conditions and then complaining about it.

You need to write an email to yourself asking why you would think it was okay to do the work around in the first place & why you think the rules don't apply to you.

I didn't know it was illegal to use a VPN tbf. What makes you think i'm looking for sympathy? Weird thing to say...I'm just alerting others to how our club is treating it's supporters and how Tan has mistreated us since he turned us red. The club had no idea that i'd used an illegal stream. They ignored my complaint because they had already taken my money, which is clearly all they care about under Vincent Tan.

Just because the stream was fine for 5 minutes does not guarantee the stream will be fine for the following 85 minutes. If that were the case we'd never have technical faults or glitches once a broadcast is up and running. Which isn't the case. You've pùt 2 and 2 together and come up with 7.
Let's stick to the facts, my stream cut out after 5 minutes. I didn't get the service paid for, so, rightly requested a refund. The club couldn't even be bothered to respond. Ever since the rebrand we've been a Joke club, run by a joker.

Contact Riverside on here for his IPTV app if you have an android phone or firestick. All the city games, all Sky sport and TV inc Box Office events, BT, Bein and much more including all the films and box sets you could ever want, superb quality and no buffering. Up and running in minutes, lots on here have it and he's also a very good guy.
