Brilliant broadcaster on BBC2 in the afternoon for my generation. More than 20 years and was as good as ever. What was the point in him getting pushed ? What for? Served no purpose. Reason given was for a change. But if people wanted alternatives there were many choices. Absolutely ridiculous.

Trouble is that the BBC as a whole is now overrun by 30 somethings making decisions.

The BBC has publicly stated that they want to catch the younger generation (quite right).

BUT, The younger generation refuse or do not pay the TV license fee (TV Tax) as they mostly watch Netflix, Amazon or social media channels and do not tend to ever watch the BBC and conversely the old farts (like me) always pay the License fee (their wages, etc) and they/we are the stupid buggers who increasingly do not get what we want (EG - sacking Steve Wright, Sue Barker, and get politically correct woke sh*t).
