Two Simple Questions :




(1) Why is Hudson being given the go ahead to get another ‘coach' ….if he may only be there for just two more games ??


This can only mean one thing ….that he is staying on as manager …… for at least a while !


Why does he need a coach in the first place ….at this point in time ?

He is there and so is Ramasut . We are not buying or selling players or dealing with contracts or agents …. right now.





(2) Clearly Tan is highly involved with all team matters? . Look - he has every right to do that IF he so chooses as he owns us outright…… but the questions that arise are :


(a) Is he qualified at all to do that ?


(b) would any decent manager accept someone like Tan ….. with his zero footballing background and being thousands of miles away …. to interfere with team selection , tactics and even sending messages during a game ??


For me this means we will not attract a decent manager?

Tan comes from a Far Eastern culture where the employee does not ask questions and only gives opinions ‘if asked’ .


An employee shows total obedience and subservience.

My View:
This method - I must say - can workwonders many times especially if the boss is very capable and wise …… but this is not “our way”. That is why our Club has NO SOUL ….. we are ruled by fear .

Is the coach for academy though which the club can get not necessarily for 1st team? Sounds like everything is going through tan which is probably not best thing but is he preferable to Dalmans input? As for good manager coming here until tan actually goes out and gets one and offers the job we never know if good candidate will come.... yes stories of xyz turning us down but mostly rumours with others having own reasons not to come ..... tan may be a reason but people taken on job with worse owners than tan.... personally we are good club better than fair few in championship to be manager of but tan as weired ideas of what's needed and Hudson is not what we need.

I couldn’t agree with you more Annis. Very dispiriting. A manager should be in total control of football matters. We don’t need yet another coach. We need a striker to work alongside Robertson. And we need a DOF with a long term plan. If Hudson is to have longer, then bloody well say so - again clarity is needed. I have supported the City since 66 and I will always do so. In the past we have played in lower divisions but in that time the players played with passion and heart and the fans always responded. We deserve clarity and honesty at the very least.

Seems odd to me,if a coach comes in selected by Hudson will he be sacked the same time he is eventually let go?
If we lose the next two is that him gone regardless?
Is Tan just a master of puppets now or has he always been this?

I see the point here and its a thought but this also could be a short term coaching help or something we will require anyway regardless of new manager. We could certainly do with an attack minded coach.

What we really need is a Director of Football.

It looks like he's got the job till the World Cup, and is being allowed to get some help during that period. I would imagine the coach will only initially get a short term contract till the World cup or the end of the season.

This will give Tan a chance to see how it goes and plan the next move, which could be stick or twist with Hudson, whatever happens he will do anything to make sure we don't go down.

If we are looking safe by the time the World Cup starts I would guess that Hudson will then get to the end of the season.

Tan told us a long time ago that we are "Customers" and not "Fans of the club".

Trouble is in Mr Tan's eyes that the customers are neither always right (as in "the customer is always right") or come first.

The u21 definitely need a coach after watching todays game it was absolutely dreadful, also a new goalkeeper coach everytime he kicked the ball out it went into touch, although in fairness he did produce a couple of good saves

The U21’s were finally improving, but the last 12 months under Purse they have gone backwards

I asked the question about his 'new coach' comment in the thread the other day...

It certainly looks like there is a 'plan' in place to give him the best opportunity to stake his claim

I said back in June / July I was worried for our great Club, Now I am more than worried

Hudson said he asked for more hands on coaching so, good that Tan is backing him, clearly he is willing to give Hudson as much help as possible.
Tan clearly is involved on our club, unlike some people who suggest he doesn’t care..
He is obviously listening to Hudson, showing interest in the way he is thinking.
I don’t think he is making the team selection.. but hey, if that’s one what some want to believe then that’s their issue
I think Mark Hudson is a stronger character than some give him credit for.

Was always Hudson’s job we haven’t looked anywhere else

On the chance of getting a board warning, can I just say that IMO no *fan* on here should wish their club loses.

If Tan let’s Hudson stay on as manager with Joe Ledley in his set up then this sums VT to a tee and a lot of fans will walk away this season. Mark my words we don’t bring in and experience manager we will be relegated this season . Lack of experience in management at this club will cost us dearly . VT f**k off and sell up ! Enough is enough
