A forum for all things Cardiff City

Not going to lie I was bored to death for the vast majority of that game.
Cardiff, as a club, needed that goal
The club’s decision to sack Morison and their plan to seemingly install Mark Hudson looked to have sucked the wind out of the fans and players until Robinson bagged, I had driven down from Barnet with my family and if Robinson had not equalised it would of felt a long journey home.

Could not agree more, the stadium was lifeless, to be fair the crowd did not turn and it was good to see us come back from behind.
SM failure to bring a top target man in who can hold up the ball, hopefully can be rectified in January.
Still feel we are playing without an identity, which was always going to happen with the turnover of players, we need a win Tuesday for definite.

Was interesting, I watched from pitch level, Burnley are a very difficult team to play against, we’re carrying 2-3 players, so a draw was decent imo.

A lot of that down to Burnley.. for a top team they were so boring .. possession football.. think Komoany thinks he is Pep..
We were the team who tried to do the most attacking.. think we need to remember we are in a season of chanhe , just need to stabilise our position in the Championship.

Funny enough i said I wanted to go home that was after about 70mins it was very boring game and very much like watching a morison led game... really got to find way of attacking more and use the pace we undoubtedly have but for some reason fail to utilise fully...

It was a goal/draw that will take a lot of pressure of us as we try and work out what is best for us.
For me we got lucky. Burnley were well below par and that showed when they took the lead. Most decent teams would have seen that out no problem, most teams would have gone for the 2nd killer goal but they tried to close the doors. I'm not a fan of that when taking the lead. They must be kicking themselves and Bellamy won't show up in Cardiff for a while after that.
We needed that bit of luck, some will say we deserved it. Whatever, we need to sort something out and get some strategy in place because we have lost that even before Morison departed.

It was like the end of the Russell Slade era, we (the fans) are just not engaged, it was like watching paint dry.
Burnley for all their salary difference were not much better than us, i guess they were trying to see out the last 30 mins and handed the initiative to us and we could have nicked it.
442 without a target man is a pretty defensive formation especially as Harris is there as the first line of defence as he does try to get around the pitch because he is a better athlete than Watters. For large parts of the first half, Burnley played the ball around in their half with a Cardiff team who were not trying to press who just went back into their pre-game defensive shape and never left it.
I am still unsure from the Harris era what Ojo is, is he a wide forward, a 10 (but not this level) a 442 winger but he was on the wrong wing, so he offered us very little, I was surprised he last through half time.
Its just not going to happen for Whyte and Watters for their careers we need to let them move on.
After 11 games i still don't know what makes us different from any of the other clubs who have better players and more experienced managers.
We are just another identikit squad in an identikit stadium with an identikit new manager straight from rookie coach camp. We need to break the cycle, we need someone who has their own ideas bourne through trial and error somewhere else.

Totally agree probably one of the most boring games I’ve seen in a long time
In fairness we tried hard and kept going until the last minute and got the equaliser we deserved. However our quality in the final 3rd is virtually none existent
Burnley I thought were dire and if anything were just as bad if not worse than us in the final 3rd. Overall a game to forget!!

What did you all want? Allow Burnley to give us a hammering? Mark Hudson stopped the rot and should be given time. Maybe you should all apply to be his assistants you all seem to be know it alls for god sake stop winging at every thing you can find. I'd rather watch that than go back to Hoof ball at least I haven't got a crick neck.Another hard game on Tuesday let's see what happens then.

Good goal from Robinson, decent header, and a great game from Romeo, we drew against a top team that was a positive result.

I was saying to my mate after the game, I know just conjecture but I do believe if Morison was still in charge we wouldn't have got the equaliser. Never looked like scoring when we went one down under him.
Good point aginst a good team, and nice to see some fight and hunger. Roll on tomorrow

I was more peed off with them playing that Jack Bonnie Tyler at the end ffs

The atmosphere was very poor, even Connor Roberts must have thought they are quiet later in the game when he had a trickle of booing. Dont understand people leaving early but that is up to them they pay their money so decision is theirs.
Lets not use train strikes as an excuse either, there is no way that there was 18k in that ground either, even with a 1000 Burnley which was a good following for a long old trip.

It’s because the fans see a half arsed owner and a club with no leadership from the people who are meant to be leading it

Fans who keep having a dig at V Tan should remember without him the club could have gone to the wall. He is a business man not a charity. A Manager manages he is the owner lock stock and barrel. Tan like all the other Cardiff fans has his ideas. Look how many Cardiff fans give their opinion on how the team should play. All giving their view also who should be Manager yet Tan the Owner gets slammed when he sticks his nose in.Every day on this forum we seem to have loads of fans wo think they could be managers. If Mark Hudson can make a success of his post and save the club Tan owns a lot of money it must be good for club for the future.

What makes you so sure we would have gone to the wall?
We had been in a lot worse situations before Tan came along and survived.

Tan has been our best owner since Bob Grogan..

OK but that was in the them Div 3 and 4 where a million was an unbelievable amount not like these days. So you say if Tan had pulled out in the pandemic the club would have servived? Really "

Fck me the best owner lol replaces the bluebirds with Cardiff red for 2 and half years the worst ever owner in our entire history as stated who can say if we would have gone bust without him .we might have got a decent owner.

Are you real? We might have had a decent owner a real positive response. And I can respond without using non-educated language.

I know what you mean. I actually left as Kipre went down as I felt very flat about it all. But I have to say Robinson battles for everything and seems to have loads of passion, fights for everything and didn’t stop running. And to be fair to him, a well taken goal.

You forget but Tan had been our owner for 10 years before the Pandemic. If he had pulled out over the Pandemic forcing us to close well that would have all been down to him.
Even if all this all happened I'm confident we would still be around.
