MY VIEW: CRAIG BELLAMY RETURNED TODAY & DID NOT RETURN WITH

Sat Oct 01, 2022 3:57 pm

MY VIEW / OPINION:

CRAIG BELLAMY RETURNED TODAY & DID NOT RETURN WITH THE RESULT HE WOULD OF LIKED AS CALLUM ROBINSON EQUALISED IN THE LAST MINUTE FOR THE BLUEBIRDS :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Positives:

Happy with a point for Mark Hudson and us, but still worried.

But its the first time City have come back from a goal down this season :bluebird: :bluebird:

We fought for the 90 mins :bluebird: :bluebird:

Good football today :bluebird: :bluebird:

Negatives:

Cardiff have NO leader on the pitch and NO real spine in the side and of course a striker.

Mark Harris started and honestly its pointless as he is not good enough, but he is very cheap.

I do see a relegation battle

It was all a bit frustrating for Cardiff. Burnley were controlling the game so well and bang Callum Robinson equalised with a header in the last minute.

FIRST-HALF: Cardiff played some good football and matched Burnley through out the half. Both had their chances.
A very good half over all by City.
Callum Robinson had a lot of good chances, but his finishing let him down badly.

SECOND-HALF: Burnley scored with in 5 mins, Cardiff just could not get anything going in the final third.
Cardiff were not in it in the second-half, Burnley controlled the game. The last 20 mins Cardiff had the possession, but did not much with it, until Robinson headed the ball in 1-1

A lovely, floated cross by Romeo and Robinson heads home from close range! :bluebird: :bluebird:

CARDIFF NOW NEED TO BEAT BLACKBURN AT HOME THIS TUESDAY NIGHT :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

CARDIFF CITY 1 BURNLEY 1 :bluebird: :bluebird:
H-T 0-0

Allsop; Romeo, Ng, Kipre, Nkounkou; Ojo, Wintle, Ralls, O'Dowda; Robinson, Harris.

Subs: Alnwick, Nelson, Simpson, Sawyers, Rinomhota, Whyte, Watters.

Crowd 18,508

Away Support: 1,057

H-T 0-0

GOAL! Cardiff City 0-1 Burnley (Tella 48)

Tella bursts into the box and looks to have clattered into Romeo. Romeo lays on the ground as Maatsen sends in another cross and Tella, unmarked due to Romeo being on the floor, taps home easily.

64th min: Ralls off, Rinomhota on.

Burnley 64th min: Gudmundsson off, Benson on. Rodriguez off, Barnes on. Tella off, Zaroury on.

72nd min: Harris off, Watters on.

O'Dowda off, Whyte on.

Kipre injured:

79th min: Kipre off, Simpson on.

Ojo off, Sawyers on.

Cardiff were not in it in the second-half, Burnley controlled the game over all but then

GOAL! Cardiff City 1-1 Burnley (Robinson 90) :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:
GOAL! Robinson header!

A lovely, floated cross by Romeo and Robinson heads home from close range!

Good result as we would have taken that at the start.

Burnley and Bellamy will be kicking themselves. They took the lead and then decided to defend it. For once it paid off for us.

Balls in to the box.

The amount of times we didn't beat the first man today was ridiculous!!

Deserved point in my opinion. Maybe even shaded it on performance. They didn't do a lot. Although still waiting for this next gear from them!

Delighted with a point but it papers over the cracks. We huff and puff but have very little guile or pace in the final third. Nothing is improving here. Nkoukou had a poor game, we really do miss Collins. I think Bagan may even be preferable. When Etete, Davies and Ebou return maybe this might add a new dynamic to the team? Colwill is certainly needed to unlock defences. Well done to Hudson but the jury is still very much out. Lets see if we can win the next two.

No disgrace with a draw against Burnley and good that we kept going to the end. If the ball into the box was better we might have won it. More positives than negatives today

Must admit was getting depressed as the games was going at the end, but the goal by Robinson made me so happy. Still smiling now. A lot of results is about confidence and I hope that will kick start us. Hudson is a past captain and has always comes across as a decent bloke - most fans want him to succeed.

We played well today except for the final third. Of course this isn’t going to change just because Hudson is the interim manager.
I thought everyone had a decent game except for Nkounkou who was shocking and constantly out of position.

Well happy with a point.

2 average teams, just goes to show a bit of luck and you can be up there.

As The Who would say, met the new boss same as the old boss. He may be a decent ex city skipper but it was the same fomulaic nonsense of Morison.

Romeo was our only outlet, anyone noticed that Perry struggles to pass the ball rightwards ? He is like a footballing Zoolander.

Anyway a point is a point when you are down the bottom and thats where we are going to be for a while

Plenty of effort. Colwill missing.Strange one available for two Wales games missing on the Saturday.
Lack of strikers killing us. Waters put through at the
end,hes just not up to it.He didn't win a ball in the air..
Whoever is in charge.,without investment its going to be a long hard winter.

Do we think Morrison would make a difference at the back? For all his lack of pace. He’s a leader. Plus he’s a set piece threat.

Have made same point... Hudson been around 1st team for months yet he played precisely same way as morison? We have a half decent sideceith pace but never use it... made point previous games we get to edge of area and stop or put in aimless balls.... did exactly same today .... new manager badly needed to change mindset of players.

Chatting to a mate who works for the club. Bells in the week giving it big guns... "We're gonna smash you." Yes. How did that go?!

I don’t think he was out of position. I noticed we were defending very narrow yesterday, leaving both wingers to hug the touch line or just stay wide, without anyone near them. Thought it was strange at the time.
