I’m English and live in Manchester. Nobody I know or in the pubs where I watch football think England have a chance in hell. I think it will be a draw with wales and USA with a win over Iran. I think Wales will beat Iran and draw the other two.

They are always the same - no wonder all the other Home Nations are so pleased when England (always) implode!

When oh when are English fans, media and players going to realise that taking 30 points from a 10-game qualifying group against 3rd, 4th and fifth class level international teams like Luxemburg, San Marino, etc is basically meaningless as a forecast of success in the finals of the same tournament!? That's because in the finals there are no or extremely few of those lower-class teams for England to beat and then out they go and deep depressions swiftly follow.

I'd like see England's qualifying record if they had been dropped in with decent competitors in successive qualifying groups. Although that answer was made clear by their relegation from Group A of the Nations League!! That's why Wales do relatively well in finals of tournaments - because they've already had to prove themselves against top class opposition to get there!!

No matter how poor England are they always best Wales we will be lucky to get out of the group I can’t see it this time around
