I have been told Vincent Tan wants as next manager:

Rob Edwards Is It !!?? - if not Mark Hudson if he puts a run together

This news is not certain and my source stressed that he is not 100% certain , but that it was a strong rumor doing the rounds in the upper hierarchies in football. And that Cardiff City will be approaching Rob Edwards next week.

So I am relating it for discussion and opinion .

I will give my opinion , probably , tomorrow .

However It looks like Tan is minded to and has set his heart on ROB EDWARDS !!

What is clear is that Hudson is being given a chance ….. and he has to “start pulling trees” straight off the blocks .

Even then , Tan may still opt for Edwards. Edwards was getting ‘pissed’ with all the interference from above on team and tactics …… but apparently bizarrely they were also buying players without even consulting with him at Watford.

I do not know if he was fired or told them to stuff it ….. I believe that he was fired , because they are vying for promotion .

By the way I can not see Bilic putting up with this. Now - I am told that - Tan does interfere with team and tactics and fancies his own ability and that now has been said by many ex managers …….he regularly talks and communicates with the manager ….. even sends messages during a game.

However , Tan has changed a lot and learnt to hold back more.

Tan (used to but no longer) does not buy players, the manager does not approve.

Could Edwards be our next manager ?

Be happy with him. Hudson stays on in some capacity though.

Tan is only interested because he thinks he will bring that player who scored from the halfway line at The Hawthorns. If Tan expects our goalies to score then it must be a no brainer to him to have a striker that can score from that distance.

I'd be okay with this. Rob Edwards has a good reputation

Mark Hudson is clearly in the owner's plans going forward though and it might make some sense of his earlier "if the right man were available" comment

As a pairing, I think Bluebird supporters (with the usual detractors) should be largely happy with that...

I wonder who recommends edwards to tan because there’s no way in a million years tan would know who rob edwards is so maybe Dalman has recommended him

I have believed for a while that Tan has been the best owner of our club. But when it comes to footballing knowledge he has not got a clue.

Equally, Dalman and Choo are rowing in the same boat as Vincent. They have no idea what football is about.

Why no one has appointed a Director of Football.....a person with deep knowledge about the English leagues is beyond me!!! But hey ho, it's not my money, I only invest a small amount every year by renewing my ST.

Only an idiot does the same thing time after time and expects thing to change. :bluebird:

Rob Edwards into 5/1 from 9/1. Third favourite.

Hudson (10/11) and Bamba (3/1) still the top two in the betting.

I think the club under Morison was moving in the right direction and I agree with Morisons comments in his Sky interview.. he sufffrom the clubs failure to get a no 9 in and his own frustrations then effected his behaviour to others .. and finally we're sitting 18th in the league and football including gans are very impatient beasts ..

Frustrations reached out to the fans as well.

Not too sure. Wasn't he brought in to make our defence better? And it's been crap all season, we are nearly a quarter of the way through the season so it should be sorted by now.

Rob Edwards is a better option than some of the others mentioned and will play a similar style to Steve Morison.

I would hope Hudson is kept on the staff though.

Rob Edwards has just been sacked for failing in the Championship with an ex-premier squad. Would he be able to take City forward?

I would be happy with Edwards but, unlike many others, I do have a real hope that Hudson will pull this off !!

He’s been part of the “project” and could build on what has been achieved so far.

I like to think I’m pretty realistic/sensible but on this one I’ve got nothing but a gut feeling for Hudson, no logic involved !!!!!!!

So Hudson or Edwards would be OK for me.

I have a feeling that Morison has laid good foundations that another capable manager will pick up and run with, taking all the credit as he goes. I don't know much about Rob Edwards but he has been a No.1 i'd prefer him to an inexperienced Hudson. However, if hudson gets 7 points in 3 games then maybe we should be loyal and give him a pop...

I wonder if Hudson was brought in initially with this in mind. Like said in another thread it may have been the plan all along. He's certainly been part of the project and not had to deal with or sort out any of the crap Morison did.
No matter whos in charge, there's still plenty to play for. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

At the risk of reminding Tan, we have already got someone who can score from further back than that. The current manager!!

The Rock will take us into the play offs this season.

Keep the Faith.

Loads of so called experienced managers go to clubs and fail. You've only got to look at Nathan Jones for one.

As I said its a no brainer.

On the scale of insane clubs, i think we are only around average whereas Watford set their own standard in that department, so "failure" there and he is in good company.

I would be happy with Rob Edwards, he has done his time and has accomplishments on his cv
