Many many times mate. But I count myself lucky to have a job that I enjoy the majority of the time.

Every day mate, place I work is like snowflake central and HR bend over for them daily. Makes life at Managerial level almost impossible. I dread to think what the country will look like in 10/20 years. People want everything on a plate now and it’s only going to get worse the longer it goes on. There’s very little respect out there anymore and whilst there are still some good kids out there coming through they are in the minority with the majority completely entitled.
I get through it by switching off and going to bed satisfied that I will get paid at the end of the month. Very little point in getting stressed about it, the best thing you can do is just try not to ‘care’ so much but if your a conscientious working class man or woman it’s hard.

I'm guessing you weren't working in the private sector or self employed?

Why would you walk out on work? get yourself together unless you prefer the benefits to grafting and earning your money. Work and stress are as old as time. It’s normal unless you are used to an easy life. If you weren’t stressed in some degree you probably aren’t working hard enough. Sorry but to come on to a message board of working class people crying about stress when the majority including myself work tooth and nail to support our families and enjoy things like watching city us just out of touch. Find your inner strength and work harder than ever. You can always leave the job, you know?

NHS and stressful job is a total understatement of the job I did (not paramedic) stress was work and health related and someone in work tipped me over edge I finished shift and never went back.. luckily got paid upto a year and got retired on health grounds.. so to down play stress at work and walking out people need to be in that position to appreciate what stress can do to a person.

Everyone gets good and bad days at work,it’s when the bad days start to out number the good ones, thats the time to think about changing jobs,at the end of the day its all about if you can afford to quit,or if you can easily find another job, basically having a jobs gives you the money to be able to do things in this world,no job no pay

I’m lucky as I really enjoy my job, although naturally there are certain aspects that could improve. Maybe try establishing the cause and try cutting the stress off at source, in a professional manner. It’s about knowing your self-worth and it appears the issue has already had too much time in your headspace. You deserve to be happy!

If you are on the bottom ruin of the ladder then start looking for another job but remember it not always greener on the other side. If you are in management then look at yourself in the mirror because 9 times out of 10 you are the problem.
I've been on the bottom ruin like most and got myself in a mindset where I threatened my boss with a cricket bat across his dead if he did not leave me along. Fortunately it was a story where if he took it further he would have ended up getting the sack himself.
I've been in management from some 30 years and I know when I have a good team below me. My current job I have an excellent team which I inherited. I could have gone in there and made changes. I decided to adapt to their ways and its working. I know a few old managers who would have pressed their ways onto them. There lies the problem most times.
