Callum O’dowda speaks on Morison departure

Mon Sep 19, 2022 11:26 pm

O Dowda…: “I felt we as players owed a lot to Steve Morison. He was the one that did it for me, he was the one that got it over the line. I need to be careful what I say, but I’m quite disappointed with it all.”

So by the sounds he still had the dressing room but they can’t say too much as they’re still working for the club essentially, has to be the Tan vs Morison debacle then, that’s 3 players now who seem to hint they’re gutted he’s gone

Maybe certain posters will now agree he didn’t lose the dressing room as the same sentiment has come from players who are currently not playing and those playing.

Also I think it shows the need for a completely fresh manager to change the feeling amongst players.

Agree with both your posts, morison clearly didn’t lose the dressing room.
I’m against the mark Hudson appointment (at the moment) because we need to get a decent footballing manager not give another person there breakthrough into management and definitely not another dinosaur hoofball specialist.
I know Mark Hudson could essentially prove us wrong and he could have the team playing proper football and get us results but it’s a risk that we shouldn’t have to take in my opinion. We should try get a good footballing manager with some experience behind him and a clear football identity

He was quoted as saying him and the other players brought in are grateful to morison for giving them a chance? Take that as o'dowda was going nowhere at Bristol other than subs bench...... wonder how many of the other signings were going nowhere at their clubs and getting chance at cory to play 1st team football at a bigger club?

I never said he lost the dressing room, he lost Tan and had a virtually a showdown with him and only one winner Tan.

But my view, I never rated Morison at all and could not stand his arrogance.

Spot on Annis, I lost respect after he blamed youngsters instead of himself.

I always viewed Morison as the same way Flynn was at Newport, Flynn was at his best when he had a Lennie to support him, i felt Morison would of probably benefited from an experienced manager to advise him, his number 2. unfortunately it seems something might have happened behind the scenes, that we probably won't ever find out about.

oh the joys of being a Cardiff City fan eh

Really like O’Dowda but as at all times like this at all clubs, there’s potential winners and losers in these situations. Wonder what CurtiNelson as an example, is thinking about it
