Courtesy of David Ornstein from The Athletic:
Sol Bamba is extremely interested in becoming Cardiff City manager but...
Cardiff are not planning to make a permanent appointment to replace Morison in the immediate term — it is believed they intend to leave Mark Hudson, who has been named as caretaker, in charge for now.

A very respectable journalist so probably the truth.
So we are sacking a manager who we didn’t want to give time to bring an inexperienced manager in who lost his 3 games in charge and giving him time? Cardiff city fc ladies and gentlemen.

Agree.
Ornstein is not in the habit of printing lies and your summary is spot on.

Not sure the club is reading the tea leaves well here.
Loved Hudson and Sol but as players, there was no real groundswell of discontent with Morison. I always had major doubts as it has never been a job for a rookie, but we lived in hope. But to go out of the pot to the frying pan seems plain daft, even by our standards.
Surely we have made inquiries about the availability of suitable replacements prior to yesterday if this was a plan B.
just plain strange

Thought Bamba slagged us off ?
Sorry but Hudson can't even sort the defence out let alone manage a whole team.

Yes I thought that too.
Can’t just have him as manager purely cos he was a popular player. Same goes for Hudson and Purse.

Blast from the past. Where’s he now?

No disrespect, but I hope its neither of them. What we need is an experienced head, who knows the Championship inside out, and who knows how to set up a team to play football, and most importantly, achieve results.....
There lyes the BIG problem,,,,, because all those traits will cost money.

I agree. Maybe we’ll come up with the cash needed. Who knows

We won’t spend cash on a new manager. Anyone who thinks we do don’t understand
