Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that First Team Manager Steve Morison has been relieved of his duties.

We’d like to thank Steve for his efforts during his time at Cardiff City, stabilising the first team last season and helping to evolve our squad in line with the club’s philosophy this summer. We wish him the best for the future.

Mark Hudson will oversee first team affairs at this time, assisted by Tom Ramasut, whilst the Club considers options for the position.

A little early for me this, though not entirely surprising

Something seems quite bizarre about this. Whilst the some performances have not been quite good enough, we’ve also played brilliantly at other times and he did need time. Considering they let Mick lose 10 in a row our worst ever run before sacking him, it seems like there could be more than just results to this knee jerk reaction sacking.

Absolutely right decision as Morison was only taking us one way down.

You pay peanuts, we got a very very inexperienced and arrogant manager .

I said before he tested our kids terrible and was not liked.

Morison was totally clueless on his press conferences and very very arrogant.

But I have to say the merry go round continues and its becoming a terrible pattern.

Do our board No what they are doing ???

TERRIBLE DECISION…..I assume something (ie major falling out) has happened. On the face of it, he was doing a really good job.
All his signings and now someone else coming in =DAFT AND DANGEROUS imho.

We should always be looking to poach managers that are currently in work, but something tell me our finances don't allow this.

Wow, I said yesterday, something is wrong at that club, he has always come across as a very aggressive & arrogant man so he must of upset someone somewhere, he just isn’t right for the manager job, anyone questions him, he bites their head off, oh well, let’s try again

Something must have gone on behind the scenes. There didn't appear to be any pressure, most knew it would take time this season. Shocked to say the least but I will hold judgement until we know more.

Nathan Jones, Steven Schumacher, or Kieran McKenna to replace him.

What is needed is someone to play a more expansive game not someone who didn't know what to do because he didn't know oppositions team so played game inside own half with little thought of attacking a very weak and poor side.....

Unfortunately I have little confidence in the board to appoint a worthy replacement.

If they are still looking for the cheapest option it's likely to be more of the same.

That's McCarthy and Morison both sacked the season after keeping the club up.
