Morrison = Tinkerman

Sat Sep 17, 2022 4:36 pm

Morrison is turning into a right little 'tinkerman' and it's beginning to pi$$ me off.
We'll NEVER be consistent if he keeps changing the line up FFS
Now performance = sh*t and result = sh*t
On current form I see a long old struggle in the relegation zone.
No leadership on the pitch
Little fight
Too slow to get forward
I think we have the players to be around mid table, especially if Ebou Adams can add a bit of bite and drive to midfield. BUT, I'm not sure if the Tinkerman is the right one to get us there. Doesn't seem to be able to motivate them enough. OR are they a bunch of pussies who can't get motivated?
Thoughts?

Every game

What happened to the old adage of not changing a winning team?

Given the rave reviews we had for our first half against Boro and the fact we scored 3 goals
why on earth change it against a side struggling at the moment?
if you find a winning formula stick to it.
I understand fatigue can sometimes be a factor in such decisions, but we've played 1 game
in the last 14 days and now go on an international break.

Question is does he know what his best starting eleven and formation is yet and are players
getting game time on performances or purely rotation?

Feel for Harris after finally breaking his goal drought he gets demoted to the bench.

injuries aside I can’t believe how many times he changes a winning side

Morison thinks he's the Guardiola of the Championship.

I think he is under the spell of analytics.

I knew we'd lose to the new manager bounce as the video lads have nothing to review, so we had to try to impose our game on them and we haven't really got a decent A game

We are quite good at high press if the opposition wants to toss around with the ball at the back, but when a team is set up to defend we are slow and laborious.

In nearly every interview he says "we knew what they'd do" its as if their game is more important than ours

We have to remember we have a rookie manager who this time last year hadn't managed a first-team game. Finding his way in the championship is tough, but the club knew that.

That’s it, and he’ll make mistakes.. hopefully he’ll learn from them.
Have to say, most fans I speak to are pleased with what Morison is trying to do, generally those who don’t require an instant fix..

He can change the plan as much as we want.Weve got no goalscorers.Colwill,Sawyers,Robinson and the rest should be chipping in..

Just another young identikit Eufa pro badge "coach", who has no new ideas or "philosophy"

Most university grads will tell you they rarely use anything they were taught at Uni, but then go on to form great careers at the workplace.

SM should be at Stevenage learning his trade and finding out if he is a difference maker. There are not many jobs in the European top 20 leagues, so IMO you need to earn it in a lower league and use the pyramid system.

If you are getting Lampard, Gerrard or Kompany you accept their rookie mistakes hoping all those years under world-class systems rub off into yours and they can use their connections and reputations.

I am not in the sacking camp, but this is a very inexperienced management /coaching team that needs help. He needs to jettison some of the coaching badge rubbish and find himself. I thought he was on that journey when we definitely went more direct on Tuesday only to be met with the walking football of yesterday, we can't pull organised teams out of shape through our passing abilities.

We increase our possession stats but crowding midfield and not committing in the box, its easy to defend.
