MY VIEW " DOMINATED POSSESSION BUT YET AGAIN FAILED TO TROUBLE THE DEFENCE AND ANOTHER DEFEAT "
Our last game before the international break and hardly looked like scoring again.
Callum Robinson missed a penalty
Steve Morison made two changes with Jaden Philogene and Niels Nkounkou replacing Mark Harris and the injured Joe Ralls.
Huddersfield sacked their manager before this game
Jordan Rhodes gave the hosts the lead in the first ten minutes
Cardiff had a penalty in the 20th minute but Robinson's spot kick was saved by Lee Nicholls in the Huddersfield goal
Perry Ng came close to equalising in the 27th minute but his effort went just wide
Callum O'Dowda had a free kick saved by Nicholls just before half time
HT: 1-0
Mark Harris and Romaine Sawyers replaced Jaden Philogene and Niels Nkounkou at the start of the second half
Rhodes nearly doubled the home side's lead early in the second half but Ryan Allsop made a good save
We were dominating possession but struggled to trouble the home defence
Rubin Colwill replaced Mahlon Romeo in the 70th minute
Tom Sang replaced Ng in the 82nd minute
Sheyi Ojo came on in injury time for Andy Rinomhota
FT: 1-0

Insipid performance and poor decisions by Morison. Why change two up front to start today? Philogene was poor too. Have we really moved on from last year? We are yet again relegation candidates. Morison doesnt motivate his teams, we were second best to a very poor Huddersfield and let's face it we nearly blew mid week against Boro too. What does he say at half time? The board need to be quietly looking at Morisons replacement. We should be expecting better than this.

Ffs after game you'd thought they won cup with celebration.... unfortunately they only beat a very poor city side.

Hes more motivated to barrate 4th official which he does constantly al game but never see him animated with his own players.

More motivated to have a pop at reporters as well

I’m trying my best to tell myself that he will come good, but we have lost half our games already, and only won 3, struggling to score (bar boro) I’m thinking a few more games and maybe the swords will be out, something must be wrong at the club

Didn’t see match but on radio Ratcliffe was basically saying that Kipre had an absolute mare!!!!

Actually he was probably our best player saved several goals with last ditch tackles....

Much worse players than kipre out there today..

We were awful and the performance was shit... What are you going to say today Steve?
We misplaced about 20 five yard passes today.
No cutting edge... no surprise there.
Sawyers... Lazy and too laid back
Rhin - Awful
Robinson - Awful, did nothing, nothing
Simpson - Liability
Wintle is going backwards
We have a definite left back problem, the everton lad can't defend.
We look like we'll concede every time from a corner or freekick near the box
No desire to win second balls or fight for the shirt
No leaders on the pitch
We don't know where to play Colwill, for me its behind the attackers more central
Huddersfield were shite and we lost
It's a work in progress, but when does that start.. If you look at the last four halves of football... Excellent first half, shit in the other three.

It looks as if we haven't got a penalty taker either with Ralls injured.

Kipre was probably our best player, Simpson on the other hand was awful today. A back five doesn't work with this side, should have stuck with midweeks formula. Sawyers was also poor game and we missed Ralls.

Never did trust Ratcliffes comments. I thought we played a back 5 on Tuesday.

We need to figure out how to play away from home. Thought Boro game might've been a turning point, less possession, more direct.

Yeah we did, stand corrected. The difference tonight was that Simpson wasn't at the races.

After 10 games you have to think is he the manager who is going to take us forward. Even when we won against Boro he puts the players down saying they cannot go and win without conceding as they are not Man City or Liverpool. If Cardiff had played well they would have won as Huddersfield are struggling. . If I was Tan this would be a yellow card moment. I would tell him , start motivating the team and get intensity for every game not once every 3 games. Stop the crap on performances and concentrate to get the team fighting and trying to win every game.

Russell Slade had a better win percentage than Morrison...

Just returning from game
Totally bereft of any ideas , no idea what to do with the ball final third
Colwall has to start, only player with any idea on how to go towards the goal
It'll be a very long season

I said before a ball was kicked we will be in a dogfight this season with all the changes while others said playoffs and I'll stick by what I said aslong as we stay up anything else is a bonus in my opinion but we all differ
You get what you pay for in most cases.

I’d gladly get rid of SM now….. he looks completely out of his depth in every aspect of management.
Sat Sep 17, 2022 10:28 pm
I don’t like Morison he’s always tinkering with the team I wouldn’t be arsed if he left us now
Sat Sep 17, 2022 10:37 pm
After spending no money, and after the clamour to appoint SM to take the club in a different direction, the Girl Guides are upset.

We spent more time making passes into our box than we did into their box, and why don't our goalkeeper try to save some shots instead of watching them go into the net
