Loved the 1st half at boro shocking tactic 2nd half to defend for 45 mins
So for me its all about the result.

Imo it's a results business and always will be. You can play like Brazil in their golden era but without a result you go down the table to the dungeon. Points win prizes

Agree; but as with much else Bluebird, some (cough, Something_Blue, the new BarryWelsh88) will list to the negative side...

Monty makes a good point though; Steve Morison does make 'losing' feel almost acceptable, so long as the 'performance' is there when most know points mean prizes

We certainly didn't moan under Neil Warnock, who famously said to a comment about his perceived negativestyle of play, "What, winning football...?"

Our current style is pleasing to the eye and I feel results will now follow

As for the performance or results question, obviously both are important. I believe us fans have mis-interpreted the point that Morison is trying to make.

He's not looking for an "average" performance and then excpecting results to follow. He is looking for a supreme performance....and if that is acheived we will win 9 out of 10 games.

People are fixated on this like it's a literal choice between a good performance or a good result.

I think playoffs would be a big ask this season, so would probably take performance over result providing we stay clear of relegation. We've watched some dire football the last ten years.

Posters like Plymuff bluebird (and others) who’s posted on 3 different threads that I’ve seen - being sarcastic about performances matter but results don’t.

As if Morison means that

The saying is - if you perform well you will get the results - But it does not always work that way ....

Get the results first and then hopefully - Conferdence will get a better performance
