MY VIEW: UNBELIEVABLE NIGHT OF FOOTBALL TONIGHT / AS CARDIFF

Tue Sep 13, 2022 8:40 pm

MY VIEW / OPINION:

UNBELIEVABLE NIGHT OF FOOTBALL TONIGHT / AS CARDIFF WERE ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING IN THE FIRST-HALF / THEN DEFENDED NON STOP THE 2ND-HALF BUT SOME HOW MANAGED TO SECURE 3 BRILLIANT AWAY POINTS.

3 goals scored away from home :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

3pts :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Out of the bottom three :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

City played attacking football in first-half :bluebird: :bluebird:

Cardiff get their first away victory.

MORISON MADE 4 CHANGES:

Callum Robinson,Mark Harris, Joe Ralls and Jack Simpson were all brought in and started tonight.

WHAT A BRILLIANT FIRST-HALF BY CARDIFF, OUTPLAYED BORO :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

My Man of the match Callum Robinson :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

FIRST-HALF: 5th min: GOAL! Middlesbrough 0-1 Cardiff City (O'Dowda) :bluebird: :bluebird:
What a start City had :bluebird: :bluebird:
20th minL 2nil Mark Harris :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Robinson to Mark Harris, great shot, Second assist by Robinson :bluebird: :bluebird:

Boro were 2nd best to everything so far.

44th min: PERRY NG ABSOLUTELY TORE BORO APART THEN SCORED 3NIL :bluebird: :bluebird:

SECOND-HALF:

Double sub for Boro as Dijksteel and Watmore come on for Mowatt and McNair.

Its been coming, defending, wasting time, sloppiness, thats all Cardiff did.
Boro scored 2 goals and dominated this half.
It was all Boro.

MIDDLESBROUGH 2 CARDIFF CITY 3 :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:
H-T 0-3 :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:
Crowd:
Away Support: 170

Subs: Alnwick, Nelson, Nkounkou, Sawyers, Colwill, Ojo, Philogene

5th min: GOAL! Middlesbrough 0-1 Cardiff City (O'Dowda) :bluebird: :bluebird:
What a start.
Robinson the architect. Threads a superb ball through to O'Dowda on the left
Cuts inside and squeezes it past the keeper.

City could of been 2nil up:
What a save.
Ball is floated towards the far post by Simpson from the left and Harris forces a superb saver from Roberts, whose legs do just about enough to keep it out.
Wintle has a crack from distance as Cardiff try to keep it alive, but Boro survive.

20th minL 2nil Mark Harris :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Robinson to Mark Harris, great shot, Second assist by Robinson :bluebird: :bluebird:

36th min: Ralls went down groin injury. was replaced by Sawyers.

44th min: PERRY NG ABSOLUTELY TORE BORO APART THEN SCORED 3NIL :bluebird: :bluebird:

Brilliant half by Cardiff.

H-T 0-3 :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

46th min;Double sub for Boro as Dijksteel and Watmore come on for Mowatt and McNair.

57th min: Managers Morison and Wilder both booked, altercation

66th min: :Double change for Cardiff.

O'Dowda makes way for Nkounkou.

Ojo is on for Robinson.

GOAL! Middlesbrough 1-3 Cardiff City (Watmore)
Sloppy.

Jones slips in Watmore and he squeezes it in at the near post.

GOAL! Middlesbrough 2-3 Cardiff City
Deary me.

Muniz heads home a second for the hosts.

3-2 now....

Its been coming, defending, wasting time, sloppiness, thats all Cardiff did.

Cracking win, and seeing out the game will have toughened the underbelly. Meanwhile way down in Swansea Town the last minute capitulations continue LOL.

Ridiculous tactics to sit on it for 45 mins last 15 fair enough nearly gave it away but cracking goals from us
but hope we do not do that for 45 mins again

The goals conceded continue to be a worry but take nothing away from the first half. Unfortunately when Robinson went off we had nothing up top to worry boro and do they could attack freely. Much needed win.

Not sure if I agreed with 11 players behind the ball second half

Great win but people would of called for managers head if we drew

3 points Saturday and some week

Spectacular first half but god did we make it hard second half. Credit Morison he got the result he needed. I genuinely felt if we had lost tonight there would have been a downward spiral and he would have been on a slippery slope. I am not getting carried away with this win despite the magical first half. There is still lots to do and we have to be far better defensively. Robinson and O'Dowda are key to this season too, must keep them fit.

Crazy how we dominated 1st half then sat on the edge of our own box the 2nd half. Never seen anything like it before except going away to Peterborough years ago being 4 nil up at half time and you know the rest. A wins a win. Although I do question what was said to them at half time to them for a totally different tactic 2nd half and the subs baffled me but we got there in the end somehow :ayatollah:

Back in my hotel in Middlesbrough. Great first half but squeaky bum time in the second half. Boro fans in pubs after game been complimentary and friendly. Minutes silence for the Queen impeccably observed. Great trip.
