We'd meet there on Saturday mornings and have a coke or a coffee and blast out some reggae on the jukebox. Someone would put his head round the door and shout that the Villa train, or the Birmingham train , or whoever else we were playing, was in, and we'd all dash over to the station and give their fans a warm welcome as they came out of the station. All good fun.

Before my time, I started going in 1972 ( 7yrs old), but see it’s been going on years before the casual scene.

It was a bit disjointed in those days Annis, nothing co-ordinated and no segregation so when we went away you didn't know where all city fans were. I found myself in the middle of the Holte end once at Villa, that was the scariest moment I had, lucky to escape with a few bruises. The worst beating we took in those days were off Charlton, they brought a bit of a crew and we were all over the place, Leicester were pretty warm at the time, my favourite days following city.
