I am getting rather anxious because we absolutely need “at least” these 6 points from these next 4 games.



Tue Sep 13 – Middlesbrough (A)

Sat Sep 17 – Huddersfield Town (A)



Sat Oct 1 – Burnley (H)

Tue Oct 4 – Blackburn Rovers (H) Live on Sky 8pm



So Middlesbrough is a sort of a pressure game because it is one of the winnable ones IF


(1) Morison picks a more attacking minded team


(2) and also instills in them the “eye of the tiger” mentality .


I think that this game is a sort of a mini test for Morison . Pretty pretty football is pretty …… but we want results not pretty talk.

This isn't a poor squad, a more experienced coach will drill them to get the ball forward quicker rather than SM's naive Barca tribute act.

I suspect he will only be judged after 12 games if in fact we win a couple of the next 4 games which is difficult to see at the moment. I think if we don’t, those in awe of Morrison will start moving the goalposts again to ‘there is still 36 games to go that is a hell of a lot of games I’m sure he will turn things around etc etc etc’

Yes I believe after these 12 games we will know how far Morison can take us. 1/4 of the season gone. Friendlies and months of the players being together and a cup game.

Morison will have been at our club well over 2 years and been our manager a year next month.

If and I mean if we are in the bottom 3 after 12 games, of course it gets worrying because you then know you could be fighting to stay up for the rest season and it gets harder to get out of the rut.
There are teams who have climbed out of it, but it gets harder and with No more additions joining till January, everyone becomes deflated.

If we rise now and go up to mid table then everyone talks about the play-offs.

The Hull postponement was not what we needed. That was an ideal opportunity to kick start our early season. Everything is very tight in the bottom half and we can quickly move upwards but we are also now are at real risk of becoming embroiled in a relegation scrap yet again. This is a make or break week. Unfortunately, I can't see us beating Middlesborough at all and will take a point now. If we lose the pressure will be really heaped on Morison. Huddesfield is perhaps more winnable but again not overly confident in that either. Morison simnply has to get points now and I would say win at least one of the next two or avoid defeat in both.
