With ten days of national mourning now beginning, I would expect all games this weekend to be postponed.

I agree but find it odd that they’ve cancelled Friday already but not Saturday.

Yes that's what I thought and why not say now they're called off obviously not decided yet... but expect them to be... but it will be a disappointment here though as iron man Wales is on Sunday if cancel events..... already lots competitors and supporters ect in tenby for it .

Can only think that it's because it's a matter for DCMS.
Probably postponed tomorrow's games due to giving supporters a fair amount of notice - especially for the travelling fans of Norwich and Stockport.
Obviously, I fully expect all EFL and Premier League games to be off this weekend (maybe even next weekend as well due to the ten days rule and the fact the state funeral will be around that time probably) but I expect it's just down to DCMS confirming it.
PM held a meeting tonight but I expect that was just for plans over the next few hours, with more in detail discussions tomorrow.
They say all this is planned for, "Operation London Bridge", and I would assume calling off events is one of those plans but it just needs DCMS to sign off on it.
Shame about IronMan Wales. Had a family member complete it a few years ago. That's much harder to reorganise than professional football games.

Iron Man Wales off? That's not my understanding...
A few people I know are entering and one (a serious competitor) has taken leave and paid over £900 just to rent accommodation for the event

Plus think of the people struggling financially who depend on jobs at sporting events for their income.
Minutes silence, black armbands and get the games on.
