Passing – A big difference to Cardiff's play this season is

Passing – A big difference to Cardiff's play this season is how they move the ball. Will Vaulks made the point last year that City's midfielders were just used to seeing the ball get smashed over their heads and it was a pretty dull system in which to play.

But thanks to ball-playing centre-backs and a midfield which is now very much central to how City attack, Cardiff are among the top teams for passing stats so far this term. They are ninth in terms of number of passes per game on average (423) and for pass completion rate (77.1 percent). Those metrics will be far more pleasing than in recent seasons, there's no doubt about that.

Annis all team and morison need to do now is convert those passing stats into an attacking formation and we will be better than ok..

I agree and that’s the next step in the process. Most look comfortable on the ball and receiving it, we now need our forward players to be making runs into dangerous areas.

We need O’Dowda, Robinson and Colwill to be brave around the opposition box.

This bit is the most difficult for a new team/squad because they simply don’t instinctively know where their teammates are going to run but that will come from playing and training together.

We do need points and goals, and that has to start soon but I’m relatively optimistic at the moment.

interesting on our shots, we have the lowest shots on target and the most shots off target

Because we spend so much time faffing around making neat little triangles that the opposition has time to get 11 men behind the ball and we're relegated to shooting from 20 yards out 99% of the time. We just don't move people forward fast enough, anything more than walking pace seems to be beyond most of them.

We need our midfield to vastly improve, there is never anyone in the box to finish off our passing moves, Morison should show our midfield how these two players performed always available and finished the moves instead of what they do know just stand there and look if the ball is going in
