HULL - EXPECT A WIN : I will be very

HULL - EXPECT A WIN :

I will be very disappointed and surprised if we do not win this one and do so reasonably comfortably. Almost certainly - WE SHOULD SCORE !!

They have by far the worst defensive record this season ….. having shipped in 15 goals - with the next worst being 11 goals. Hull finished last season 4th from bottom and escaped relegation.

Apart from their two newly acquired strikers - they are more or less the same team …… a team , mainly made up from lower division teams.

My biggest (and only) concern is their new Colombian striker Estupinan - who has been scoring goals at the rate of one per game. If we keep him quiet - we will win. He is a tricky - instinctive sort of player - who gets himself in good scoring positions…… but , I believe our defense is well suited to neutralize him (our weakness is with big teams relying on muscle power - which Hull are not).

They have an experienced manager from Georgia who had a very good career as a striker and who is well travelled as a manager - but who is still finding his feet in the English league.

I can’t expect a win with NG masquerading as a CB and the horrible feeling Watters may actually get another chance up front. Add to this the fact Ralls will probably start and Colwill won’t it just makes me think we are still so weak through the spine

We shouldn't expect any win given our current form BUT if we don't win these games you've got to ask where our points are coming from

We've a reasonable home record

I expected us to beat Reading, Millwall and Luton but we didnt so I cant really say I am confident over this one either sadly. As long as it is a good performance then that is the main thing  :bluebird:

I want Morison to do well because you just know if he goes the board will bring in another dinosaur and it’s back to square one. We have a brand new team but unfortunately it’s the likes of Ralls and NG who weaken is when playing. I honestly think NG is not good at all at centre back and is out of his depth

We’re all entitled to our opinions, however I couldn’t disagree with your comments about NG anymore.
He gets beaten in the air more than a taller centre back would do granted, however because of his exceptional reading of the game, he cuts out a lot of danger before it becomes a problem.
NG along with Kipre is also our strongest central defender bringing the ball out of defence. Countless times this season I’ve seen him bring the ball out from defence, and we’ve started attacks from it.

I think he’s more comfortable in the modern game in the middle of defence (whether that’s a 3 man or 2 man central defence).

Ralls I partially agree with you based on the first game I seen him play this season, however he seems to be getting stronger as he’s getting fitter.
Can’t remember if it was the last game, or the game before but he had a much better game compared to the beginning of the season.

Summing everything up, it will take time for this team to click. I do think we’re in for a rough few months, however I do feel when the second half of the season kicks in, we will hit top form and surprise a lot of teams!
Seen enough quality in flashes during the first 8 games to suggest we will have a strong second half of season IF we stick with Morison.
