Now that we have our squad until January, how would you rate our transfer window out of ten?
Obviously we wait to see how the team develops, but I'm pleased with our signings.
17 new signings in total.

Excellent

Excellent 8 out 10

8 or 9. If we had brought in another too forward it would have been the cherry on the top

I agree, but I'll wait until the morning to see if we did manage that sneaky last ditch loan hat was registered just before 11pm.
8 if we don't get another striker, 9 if we do!

Morison done really well on a very small budget. Fair play to him. Needed one more tho. Still option of a out of contract player but probably unlikely. Happy with the players brought in tho.

A solid 6 or maybe 7 out of 10.
Should be enough to avoid a relegation scrap.
Not enough strike power to challenge for the top 6.
Could be a reasonably quiet season of consolidation and then let's see where we go next season.

Does anyone 'in the know' know if we have any deals still simmering away the were registered pre-11pm?
I want to go to bed!!

Stopped watching Sky's transfer deadline show early on , due to its attempt to appear inclusive..
Dreadful..... Dreadful, Dreadful

I voted 9/10
Steve Morison has done a pretty remarkable job in (a) offloading the chaffe accumulated by previous managers, (b) recruiting a squad of hungry, mainly young players with a point to prove and a willingness to run through walls, and (c) changing to a more pleasing on the eye style that (to date) lacked one ingredient, i.e. a striker who could make the difference
I'm not 'knocking' Max Watters, as personally I think he has a place running off new man Robinson but had we acquired another striker, I may have given a 10 given the overall circumstances of this last couple of years and I firmly believe we are moving positively forward; we just may need a little patience to allow club/manager/players to get there
Some, if they carry on with their early promise, will either take us to the Premier League or bring in healthy transfer fees going forward
No apologies for my positivity. I've been around long enough to know 'promise' in our team...

I would say a good 7/10
Sadly been unlucky already with injury
Collins looked to be an excellent signing
I think we will be ok. Probably finish mid table

Excellent 9 out of 10. Morison has done extremely well.

We’ve only really made a start. The transformation in style form last year has been remarkable. Once we’ve had another summer transfer window and the current players / team keep developing then hopefully we may be in a position to challenge for top 6 next season. Too much to ask at the moment - 7/10

In general I think it’s been a decent window SM needs to start picking up results now

An excellent transfer window considering all that’s been done.
Like most posters, another striker would have been great and was needed but I’m hoping Etete - although he’s young and learning his trade - will be given his chance when fit as opposed to Watters.
An 8 for me.

Excellent value for money and change of style in just one window, 9 out of 10 as we still need one more Striker, but a near perfect job, well done Tan, Dalman and Morison our recruitment team did a fantastic job

Good post mate and I second everything you have said, the key now will be patience, onwards and upwards

I’ve gone 8, could have been 9 but we didn’t get rid of Watters and Harris when bringing in better shouldn’t be too difficult on any budget
Fri Sep 02, 2022 8:40 am
Went 7.
A few point dropped for not getting in another striker.
I have also taken a point off for losing height in the squad. Not saying I want to go back to long balls and set piece bullying but would be a nice Plan C option.

I missed the vote. I would have given 6 with a could do better. The game is about scoring goals.Up front we are stuck with one decent signing, two no hopeers and a 20 year old rookies.

In my 40yrs of supporting the city I can't remember another window even close to this one. Whatever people think about the teams chances going forward the basis to work on is much better than I could have imagined. Also it must be noted that the owner and the board have backed the manager so much so that a couple of managers have admitted that they couldn't compete with Cardiff financially so lets have no more of this BS about the manager not being backed. On the subject of strikers I think we tried during the whole window but thats where the market is at its most competitive. I'm just glad we didn't go for a thirty something journeyman. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the loan window open for another week yet?
Fri Sep 02, 2022 10:56 am
I expected a high turnover in players but didn't expect 17 coming in! Some real quality in there as well. I really hope we can kick on and it works out for Morison, him and his team have clearly put a massive amount of work in over the summer. But if it doesn't work out, he has assembled a pretty handy squad of players that I'd imagine a lot of managers in the championship would be happy to work with.
I went for 8. I still think we need another experienced striker. Was hoping to see Hugill back.

Impressive is good description of the transfer windows...... but I feel its next season we will see true benefits... but its imperative we sort out frontline in summer if thec one we've got now fails to provide enough goals to challenge top 6.

9 and would’ve been 10 if we’d have signed a striker.

Same for me, another striker with a proven record and it would be a 10

Berklay1 is conspicuous by his absence. Probably just busy fighting against the 'cruel and callous regime'. Freedom For Tooting comrade.
