Cardiff City are ready to swoop for Southampton ace Theo Walcott.

But the Championship club are likely to face fierce competition for the former England international's signature.

If true and it came off, that would be exciting for (most) Bluebird supporters

He's got a lot of experience and can play on a number of positions. Also still has enough quality for the Championship.

Sven you have your connections… I have been told he was touted about but Cardiff never responded or enquired further. It was sent to various clubs through players agent and endorsed by Southampton as they would pay a chunk of wages

It wasn't a 'connection', it was widely reported in certain media outlets; hence the question mark in the thread title...

Bring honest and not knocking you, I don't think your "I was told it was never a starter" statement is anything different
