Would chopra score goals in this team? For me the answer is no. We just do not create any chances. And limit ourselves to long range shots. I think we need more than a striker. Personally

You have got to be kidding !!

Our fullbacks and wide men are putting in good crosses all game every game, Watters and Harris never make a near post runs hence the lack of attempts.

Chopra would score a hatful in this team as would any decent Championship striker.

Chopra would make the runs and the midfielders would find him, Watters doesn't make the runs

The difference between Harris and Watters (IMO) is Harris has been coached to play since a young age whereas Watters hasn't. Harris tries to make the runs but when it counts loses composure, Watters look lost.

Good crosses into the box?? Or just crosses into the box ? How many good crosses were put into the box tonight . Ojo would rather dribble around with the ball than put a cross into the box. You cant honesty say we created chances tonight?

There were atleast 3 balls put into the 6 yard box tonight with no one there to tap it in.. a goal poacher would of had atleast 2 tonight

You cant honesty say we are creating good chances tonight. I feel we are slipping into the same issues as the jacks. Loads of possession with nothing to show for it.

Yes and 2 of them went straight to their players when we had players in box! Wasnt about the runs it is about the accuracy and like most of the season so far it as sadly been very lacking.... can blame forwards as much as you like but truth is the balls that do go into box are more in hope than directly at players most of the time....

One of the main reasons it went to one of their players was that the strikers ran to a position where they had between two or three defenders between them and the ball, thereby the defenders either heading or booting it away. when the ball is put across goal the strikers seem to stop to see if it is going in, instead of making sure it goes in by attacking the ball.

Steve McPhail used to say he loved playing with Chopra because he knew he would always be making a run and where he would go.

Either we are not taking enough risks with balls forward to create these chances, our strikers are not making the runs or our midfield and forwards are just not gelling (which should improve with time).

I imagine its a combination of the 3

It is strange that we play such risky football in our own half but seem reluctant to play killer passes in our half. I suspect the midfielders lack confidence in Watters and Harris.

I think Roger Johnson made a very good point last night. No one making late runs into the box. Means our strikers are easy to mark. We play good stuff, but if you take a picture of our attacks, you swear we were attacking with 1-0 lead with 5 mins to go. Not enough people actually getting into the box.

He'd score a hatfull, he was a born Striker they make things happen and get in places and positions that Harris and Watters only dream about!

Im not doubting chopra here. But lets be honest that dave jones side created chance after chance. Whitts, burke' mcphail' jay all capable of creating chances we were fortunate that we had one of the best finishers about to score them. This team is no where near as creative as that dave jones side. We are great up until the final 3rd then look lost. The Brum game this season was the only game we crested plemty of clear cut chances
