TAN / DALHMAN BOARD NO AMBITION ANY LONGER?

Tue Aug 30, 2022 9:30 pm

Are they watching any of our games surely they can see the sqaud just need 2 strikers and we could be nearer the top
But if they do nothing by tomorrow night they imo could' nt give a flying f.ck and have really lost interest and no ambition for the club to progress what a shame nearly 8 games in with a toothless attacking front.

They lost interest a long time ago, willing to spend the bare minimum to keep us in the championship.

The last time MD was at a game was to sack MM.

Can’t remember the last time VT attended.

We are absolutely stuck with this callous and cruel regime for some time yet.

Every creature on Gods earth knows we need a striker, and we havent got one for one reason only... Tan and Co will not pay any sort of fee, and will happily see the club, team and fans suffer because of it.

Sad thing is, SM has assembled a half decent team that costs, I'm sure, less than the weekly wage of Smithies, Flint, Pack, Vaulks and Moore.

We have spent, supposedly £500k ( prob spread over 3 years) on a project that wont reap rewards, certainly this year. My God, we were spending that much in the 1970's, where I could name at least 3 £100k plus signings.

We have therefore spent nothing, made a savings, and still the regime watch and laugh as we plough through with their own rubbish signings at the helm.

Watters, ( Committee signing) Harris ( Committee apprived a contract extension).

And some on here will back anything this regime do.

Cue the 'zzzzz' from Wez and the 'but we paid signing on fees' from Allan.

Ive rightly criticised the regime for many years. Others have blindly walked with them in a stupour. Its got to stop, they have to get out of our club, and NOW!

You think the result is funny Wez?
Well I dont.

You'd support this regime if they shut us down tomorrow. Rather than give a stupid response like you usually do, tell what parts of my post you disagree with?

Are you aware there was a pandemic. Ask leicester they have Malaysian owners also .they are selling most things that move. Better the devil you know

The pandemic affected every single club globally, not just us.

Yet we portray ourselves as the poorest club around despite our Premier riches, whereas other clubs spent wisely and appropriately whilst still staying within their means.

Yes, I have to agree; and Jonny's highlighted words above speak volumes...

If that is the case, then the Board KNOW IT AS WELL; unless (quote) "every creature" doesn't include a chosen few?

Steve Morison has stated the club are working hard tp get a deal done but most other club's are too. Added to that is the selling/loaning clubs reluctance to allow players out before they kniw their own positions, it is a tough gig right uo until 11pm on Thursday night when the window closes

You cannot blame the Board (nee Tan for the regular bashers) for the situation, if the manager is telling you he is being supported in his efforts (the signings so far seem to show he is) and why should he bring in any old player just to sate the uninformed whims and often unsubstantiated self-opinion of some supporters?

I've no idea who is being chased (we tend to be surprised regardless of rumours) but I do know we are 'in discussions' for players to come in...and to leave (on loan or otherwise)

Whether they come off or not, only time will tell and it's going to be an interesting 36 hours or so :ayatollah:

I agree the regime also know it, and have for some time.

If it isnt free or loan, we need to realise that realistic money will need to be spent.

Re: TAN / DALHMAN BOARD NO AMBITION ANY LONGER?

Wed Aug 31, 2022 11:56 am

What is realistic money? 500k or £2m WBA just spent 500k on lower league striker... but will that be sufficient for our fans knowing how getting in such players "watters" ect turns out? The club and that includes board have done wonders to get in a really exciting squad it will be a shame if we cannot get the final piece of the jigsaw in to make the difference between mid lower league mediocrity to top 6 finish... but that last piece is and always will be the hardest one to get for any team.... and fans should realise this and not be blaming anyone for it not happening .

The board and Morison have openly stated there is money there but hey don't let the truth get in the way of yet another of your rants.

Saying there is mo mney is very open to interpretation. Is there money to pay a transfer fee? To pay 25% of loan wages? To scrape together a signing on fee (that Allan loves) on a lower league player?

It is indeed (quote) "open to interpretation" but for most, it is clear that there is money to spend on the right player

Whether it be to buy or loan and whether it be to pay wages or other fees, the club are doing their best to make it happen

Kion Etete is a good example of the club making money available for the right player/profile and I would expect at least one addition (possibly two) by tomorrow evening

I'll be honest here, I really don't understand your posts on this thread and in particular your ascertion that the Board (we know you mean Tan ;) ) are (quote again) "callous and cruel" when he has clearly backed his manager in what has been the most revolutionary transfer window certainly since Malky and possibly in our history...

I'm genuinely intrigued as to your thinking with so little evidence to actually back it up...? :?

He has at last taken interest we have a decent team like i said but need strikers but he has taken a very big back seat since we left the prem
amd put in wages caps etc hopefully he could see the desperation a lot of fans have voiced and a lot of fans have had mixed messages morrisson saying there is no money for players the board saying there is
I have personally no hatred towards tan whatsoever
i just think if you own the club you want them to do well and with the new edition of a few strikers we could very well be top 6 because the rest of the squad look decent
So i am glad someone has bent tans ear to what most of us want and this may reverse the dropping fan base although the fuel and energy crisis might stop some walk ups including myself.

You really are scraping the barrel with your remarks!
Scrape money together got visions of "YOU" tan dalman and ken raiding piggy bank scrape enough money to pay fee for Robinson... :laughing5:

Money available open to interpretation mmmm... what interpretation is that either there is or there isn't money available? And despite your pathetic attempt at humour paying a transfer fee is precisely same as paying player a fee its real money used not monopoly money..... but that's something you are unable to comprehend for whatever reason......

There's only 2 or 3 posters that really bring the mood of the forum down with there toxic agenda against the club, Barclay1 is probably the worst.

Toxic is about as good a description of this loon as I’ve heard.

Everything is negative and twisted.

The forum is good for different views and opinions but as wez says he just brings this message board down with his constant shite.

I’m here crying because the board are soo cruel and callous towards me!

The 'cruel and callous regime' comment made me laugh and cringe at the same time. What a wet fart.

I used to find his predictable negative whining quite funny but now he's just boring. He got emboldened when he got supported after saying he was going to leave as being 'bullied' and now sees himself as some sort of football sage and his constant negative view is the truth. I'm certainly not a fan of MD and VT (I hope they sell) but all the guy does is bash the club at every opportunity to be popular with the toxic few.

This thread has been taken over by the usual suspects and has nothing to do with the original topic.

Absolutely, nobody knows me or what I am like, who I am, what is important to me, or what life events have shaped who I am.

Rest assured, your comments (and the language used by sneggy on a regular basis is absolutely vile, and you should be ashamed) strengthens my resolve to challenge the regime at every avenue whilst I continue to support the team.

Im not going anywhere anymore, and Ill say things as I see them.

Now, debate the original content for everyone to get involved and move away from your self appreciating comments on how angelic you all are.
