MY VIEW / OPINION:


MORRISON TONIGHT STARTED WITH HIS MAIN 2 STRIKERS AND FOR ME THEY DID NOTHING ONCE AGAIN AND WITHOUT A DECENT STRIKER WE WILL STRUGGLE BADLY.

Its the same story being said week in week out


Thats 4 games without a win now for Cardiff

2 shots on target all night.



The game was entertaining from both sides

Did we play bad? NO
Just dont create much in front of goal.



3 Home points dropped, 1 from our last 2 home games and not against top sides.


Max Watters and Mark Harris started together for the first time and Ojo joins them.

Once again Watters failing to score this season, but also virtually did nothing.



Luton before tonight had only won one game, i have to say Luton are just an ordinary side with NO money.



Rubin Colwill dropped to the bench , even though in my Colwill was outstanding in his last game.





FIRST-HALF: Was even stevens for 30 plus mins, both sides played good football, Luton started the strongest, Cardiff took control for long periods, then Luton finished the strongest. 0-0 was fair to both sides. Limited chances over all.





SECOND-HALF: Luton scored with in 2mins, after a substitution, our defenders were just standing around
Cardiff were then on the back foot.

We need to get players in the box when we attack. We simply have not been doing that.

17 shots only 2 on target.
Started the season really well .but already looking ragged

Disappointed with the result,alot of promise after the Norwich and Brum results but brought back down to earth now.
Think we will be closer to the bottom than the top.

We will never win with nobody getting in the box. Harris and Watters not up to it. We need a striker who wants to go in those areas.

Perfect all over the pitch apart from the glaringly obvious toothless upfront and nobody in the box concidering morrison was a striker i cannot understand why he cannot get it right e en with out a 20 goal striker you have more than 1 player in the box ffs get in the box
The attendances will keep going down along with our position painful to take when we are playing great football.

Too few players in the box when we attack. A decent striker coming in will change that as good movement will benefit the rest of the team.

Thought the two full backs had a good game, with Nkounkou my MOTM. Rinomhota also played well.

Don't think we deserved to lose but that cutting edge let us down once again.

Morison has two days to being at least one striker in and I'm sure he's working harder than anybody to make that happen.

I said it on Saturday and I'll say it again, we're a decent striker away from being top six.


Having said that, disappointed with our defending today - especially for the second goal from a set piece, no excuses for that.

Agree with that….. but M of M Ojo for me. One of his best efforts in a City team.
If we cant get another CF we need to have our best attacking players upfront togetherFor me that means no start for Watters and prob no start from Harris either.
Eg some combination of players like Ojo O Dowda Philogene Colwell Davies (when fit)
The football is pretty good so STICK WITH THEM!!

We need a new striker but whoever it is won't make a blind bit of difference if we don't get the ball into the box & continue taking pot shots from over 20 yards out.

And why on earth are our defenders & keeper playing neat little triangles on the edge of our area in added time when we're losing?

We are in a relegation scrap again if we do not do any business in the next two days. Neither Harris or Watters should be in the squad never mind the starting 11. They are truly useless. Its a prpoper crisis now and for Morison to say we will just go with what we've got is suicide for this season. Frankly any striker will do now compared to these two. Credit to Luton, savvy team and did us with set peices. Sadly Colwill also showed us why Morison maybe is right to use him cautiously tongiht. Poor this evening. Yes but that dont matter aslong as the performance is good so the manager said results should follow from good performances. So where are the results I say if we are that good at clocking the stats.

Morison has two days to save his job. If he fails to sign more striking options we will be in serious relegation trouble. Its no different to last season we are just playing prettier football. If we don't hurt sides scoring goals possession and 'performances' are pointless. He needs to put away his arrogance and principles and sign a stiker(s) regardless if they fit with his blueprint or personality type.

And here we go again. With Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum up front we'll be slipping towards the relegation zone and it'll be a long old season.
Who in our shambles of a board thinks it's a good idea to be without a decent striker for at least the first six games of the season? Fkn ridiculous.
The quality of football has definitely improved but even this early in the season our supporters are rightly (IMO) voting with their feet because who wants to see good football without an end result?
Cmon Mr Tan put your hand in your pocket and give us a couple of strikers who can breathe life into an already disheartening opening.
PS. Morrison needs to quickly learn to get the supporters onside.

The strikers are so poor it’s actually affecting the way everyone else plays, particularly when we go a goal down because they just can’t see the strikers putting one away.

We need Hugill (or somebody similar) with Etete as back up. Then we have a chance of a good season.

Our play up to the final third is excellent when games are level and our fullbacks and wide men look dangerous and there are plenty of good crosses going into the box, but Watters and Harris never look like getting on the end of them.

Deadline day is going to be nerve wracking!!

We are so small now, when ppl look up to cross they cant see anyone, not many in the box mind. Thats the big problem we need early crosses for the opposite winger to be running on to or the ST/Mid.

The experiment with him and Harris upfront clearly doesn't work in fact Harris was more effective when max went off but that's because he went wide with support of wide men result no one in middle .... to me morison tactics all wrong for the type player watters is Why cant he see he is not a lone striker simply doesn't have the physicality to be one... again last night he was isolated even when got ball he struggled to hold it up long enough to pass to a player simply because they were so far away from him and having 2
defenders after you is not easy.... resting him is not easy as we dont have anyone else and that is big problem as we know.

Knowing its almost certainly going to end in failure? Hes had chances to score yes but other players have had easier chances and failed to score also.... perhaps morison should do a pep and not have a striker at all then can build team around that.

I do take your point. I just think (hope) he’s got an eye on next week after the window closes and doesn’t want to change the entire style for the sake of 1 player.
