MORISON GOES ALL OUT ATTACK: " CARDIFF CITY TEAM TONIGHT "

Tue Aug 30, 2022 5:46 pm

Well, the headline act there is clearly Rubin Colwill being dropped back down to the bench after enjoying a positive outing against Preston at the weekend.

Perhaps it's a game management thing, who knows, but Mark Harris comes in for his first Championship start of the season. Big chance for him to stake a claim. He flanks Max Watters with Sheyi Ojo, who also comes back in.

Andy Rinomhota is another change in the heart of midfield as he comes in for Romaine Sawyers.

Callum O'Dowda's hip injury keeps him out of the squad and he is replaced by Everton loanee Niels Nkounkou, who starts his first game for the Bluebirds.

Wintle, Rinhomoto and Ralls are all defensive sage players, attacking would have seen philogene and Colwill in the middle with one of those 3 behind them.

Let’s see what our two misfiring strikers can produce

I hope I’m wrong, but can’t see any goals in that side

That is a far more negative team than Saturday. Ridiculous to drop Rubin to bench. Rinohmota looked off the pace when he came on too. Hope I'm proved wrong, but nowhere near our strongest 11 from team and bench available.

For me just a few loints.

1. Ralls and Wintle dont seem to work as a duo
2. No striker on the bench cos we simply dont have one.
3. Why does Morison rotate Ojo and Philogene?? Id like to see them in the same team. Ojo taking the role Harris occupies freeing up Philogene out wide.

Will struggle for goals. Did say wed win, am thinking now possibly a 0-0 again.....

Dropping Colwill? Can’t see that unless carrying an injury

All out attack? Harris will be on the wing. Exactly the same formation. Just took out the creativity through the middle so it’s worse off than Saturday

Colwill should be starting, he is the most likely to either create something or score.

Surely one of Colwill or Sawyers has to start?! As others have said. No creativity in that side.

And... now I've said that we'll score 3 by half time tonight!!

Colwill is just back from injury & maybe starting 2 games in 4 days is a bit much for him.
