Perry Ng has given his seal of approval to the signing of Niels Nkounkou, who has joined the Bluebirds on a season-long loan deal from Everton.

The move was confirmed on Saturday morning but the paperwork was sorted in time for him to feature against the Lilywhites.

Ng lined up in defence with Morison's newest signing and says he should fit right in.

“I thought Niels did well, and was unlucky not to score at the end there," Ng said. "He’s another good signing, he’s fitted in well, and I'm looking forward to working with him.”




On the game, Ng believes on another day the home side would have been out of sight.

"It was a frustrating game in the end," he said. “I think it was another good performance at home, a clean sheet as well, so we can’t really complain.

“They’ve kept the most clean sheets I've ever seen, so they’re a hard team to break down. I thought we got into some good areas today, but we just lacked a bit at times.

“The tempo was a bit slow in moments, but on another day that could have been two or three nil. Our style of play is good, as you can see, but we just need that little bit of luck in the end.

“Last week was horrible; we dropped below our standards, and it was a disappointing result considering how well we’ve been performing recently. It was a good performance today, and we just need to get those three points now on Tuesday.”
