Emojis

How do you do the emojis, ayatollah etc on here. Feel really old asking lol. All I can figure out is smiley face etc

On a pc there is a selectable menu. On the phone we need to try and figure out what key combinations give the emojis! :-/

I had absolutely no idea either, it's definitely an age thing.

You can download GIF makers but there cost abit …apps available

Might just be what you're viewing the forum on. I'm on microsoft edge as their are issues with this forum & firefox that I usually use and when I reply to anything (like now) the emojis (called smilies here) are on the right and at the bottom of them it says "view more smilies".

You can just write the code in directly. Place the code for the smiley you want in between two colons.

The two I use regularly so know them off the top of my head are:

;ayatollah;

and

;thumbup;

(in the examples above i've put the first ones in-between colons so they come out as emojis and second time I've put them in-between semi-colons so the code won't work but you can see the format.

On the desktop version of the there is also a panel that shows them on the side and you can just click them from there and they will be added to the post wherever your text cursor is - that also shows you the code for future reference.

Can't remember how to do it on mobile sorry but is probably something similar or if it is just wacking an ayatollah at the end then just use the code like I've posted above and switch the semi-colons to colons and your sorted.
