It such a shame that Jamilu is out for the season but it has to be said that Nkounkou looks a very decent replacement.
Nkounkou and Collins in the side next season could be very exciting indeed.

Agreed, looked very good. One loose pass in the second half that nearly gave Preston a counter attack but you can put that down to rustiness.
Looked really good going forward and was unlucky not to score a couple of times.
Looks a good signing. Not sure we'll have both him and Collins next season though, unless we can get Nkounkou on another loan. Seems that Everton rate him very highly, which is proven by the fact they gave him a new contract before loaning him to us.

Really positive, although given he's a loan I'm not sure I'd be confident about him coming back - we've not had a load of luck pulling players back in (see Hugill, Doyle and Drameh, who I'm sure we'd all have wanted to return!).

He looked great and I'll appreciate him while I can as he won't be back, like Doyle and Drameh. Yes, we all know we need CF's but for SM to bring in yet another quality LB/WB who has an eye for goal after JC was injured in a matter of days shows he's a shrewd operator in the market, either perms or loans.
This is a transitional season for me, our great reset in terms of style, intention and financial sustainability, not bothered if we make play offs as I see something good is happening here but will take time.
