MY VIEW / OPINION: COLWILL FOR ME AS CARDIFF PLAYED A GAME AGAINST A TEAM WHO HAVE HAVE NOT CONCEDED A GOAL THIS SEASON ENDED 0-0.

MY MAN OF THE MATCH RUBIN COLWILL.

CITY GAVE IT THEIR ALL IN THE 2ND=HALF.

CARDIFF NEED A STRIKER ASAP 3 GOALS IN 7 COMPETIVE GAMES



RUBIN COLWILL STARTED & MAX WATTERS STARTED HIS 6TH GAME IN A ROW FOR THE BLUEBIRDS / BUT WATTERS FAILED ONCE AGAIN TO SCORE.


Cardiff were undefeated in their last 6 games against Preston. Preston had only scored 1 league goal and conceded 0 before today.


For me 2pts dropped by City, but Preston did what they wanted to shut Cardiff out.


FIRST-HALF: Cardiff edged it, but out shooting was awful, over all and quite a boring half.






SECOND-HALF: An early change as Nkounkou replaces O'Dowda. Cardiff for long stages were by far the better team.

Cardiff had dominated, but the last 10mins Preston came in to the game and nearly snatched it.

I agree with 2 points dropped,we need a striker like 3 weeks ago,will we get 1 or 2 I don't believe we will.
We look a half decent jigsaw with 2 pieces definitely missing.

Watters failed to gamble again at the end. That will pile more pressure on him.

Only saw the second half due to train issues.

We played well but it's the same old story, no striker who is good enough.

Surely we will bring one or two in over the next week. Especially with the Etete injury.

In my view only one team wanted to win this game, Preston time wasting all second half.

New left back looks like a great threat going forward.

In my view Morrison has pulled off a pretty clever trick. He has created a very attack minded side with good attacking fullbacks, wingers and midfielders who can score goals but with an attack that is so utterly useless we seem almost incapable of scoring. The last three games have been tedious and I don’t see any prospect of improvement. To be quite frank, despite all these dealings on the transfer market, we look very mediocre. I rather expect us to drift down towards the relegation zone without actually being relegated.

I may be wrong and Watters will turn from an ugly duckling into a swan on scoring his next goal for us, although it didn’t happen when he scored his last goal for us. Also I feel sure that the two strikers we always seem to be on the verge of getting in will be here next week and save our season.

Only 2 on target though as a lot of the other 20 were from outside the box & ended up in row z.

I think we are being a bit hard on the strikers today,service in the final third wasn’t the greatest against the meanest defence in top two divisions.
Im quite happy tho with the way this team is developing.

I agree with most of the comments today, but at least we tried to score. I would not like to be a Preston supporter if that is the best they can do.

How can the manager know we need a striker that badly and after 8 months, nothing. It's bollocks, get a couple of strikers or resign and tell Tan the best thing he can do is sell up.

I thought we looked pretty good today and despite struggling in the final third I enjoyed the game. Its brilliant to see us passing it out from the back instead of just smashing it upfield everytime. Preston havnt conceded a goal in 6 games so they set up pretty well defensively. Though we were unlucky to hit the post and, from where I was sitting, I think we should have had 2 pens. 1 handball and 1 clear shirt pulling.

This was a game where the away side came set up for a 0-0 draw and got one...

Well set up/drilled at the back and as we pushed they sent on the ineffective Ched Evans to give their players no real incentive to oysh forward

An entertaining game for a 0-0 result and I saw the 'promise' of a side beginning to know each other and prepared tp work hard

Better times ahead, methinks!

For me we could do with a new centre attacking midfielder. I think we could do with someone with a bit more energy and work rate instead of sawyers.

Just watched the highlights - we played well

In my opinion ( unfortunatley) Watters doesnt have the goal scorers instinct needed at this level. He was slow to react on a couple of occasions, he was trying hard though - you can see that - and I feel sorry for him - BUT we cant keep on like this.
Harris is hardly a better alternative either. So basically we need to find someone from Scotland, Abroad or League2.

I would be looking to Scotland , I would also seriously consider Callum Patterson - at least he managed to dinf the back of the net

I actually thought the service to the strikers was quite good yesterday and that the reason neither of them scored is because they are hopeless strikers.

I don’t see why you are happy about the way the team are developing, our two wins came early on and since then we haven’t won another match and can barely score a goal. We seem to be in competition with Preston for the side that scores the least goals in the championship this season.

We have scored 3 goals in 6 games this season, how on earth can anyone be satisfied with this. To make matters worse we haven’t scored any in the last 3 games.
