While there are some who love the idea of a young hungry player, who is a rough diamond that we can mould into a 'class act', this worries me.

One cannot fully move away from the fact that this player was not deemed good enough by Stevenage. We will be lucky with maybe one, possibly two lower league gems.

With the news of the Sala decision going against CCFC again, our budget for the coming years will be slashed again, not withstanding a transfer embargo that will almost certainly come into force.

This is worrying times for the club.

Time to pay up and move on ,the costs are now escalating out of control.

The last thing we need is a transfer embargo.

There could be a number of reasons why he was released. We didn't release Smithies because he isnt good enough to play in the Championship. Where has it been said he was released because he wasn't good enough?

Also, the u21s do need to be competitive and have a squad able to cover positions. Not every player in the u21s is expected to become Championship footballers. If they were, we would be making millions every season through player sales.
